business plans.
IED Fashionis the school of reference in communication and trends; it’s
collaborating with fashion companies and institutions. All the teachers are
active professionals (designers, stylists, photographers, coolhunters…). Fashion
labs are completely news, equipped with the best sourcing machines and
stockman mannequins.
The Fashion School is also offering Bachelor of Arts (Hons) of three-year in
Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing and Communication, both validated by
the prestigious University of Westminster, as well as a three-year course
(Diploma IED) in Marketing and Fashion Communication, taught in Spanish.
It is the association of image and fashion of the
fad, an international shuttle of emerging
designers, with the objective to transform
Barcelona into the most seductive city in the
European environment and promote and give
exposure to the young designers of
experimental, interdisciplinary and avant-garde
fashion for the city and beyond.
The ModaFAD activity consists of the
international showing of emerging fashion
designers to boost the interdisciplinary, drive the
concept of the designer and promoted, and
encourage the relationship between the design
schools, the young designers, the specialized
modes of communication, and the industry.
Modafad makes up part of the Barcelona
Fashion Week, which represents the emergency,
the risk, the talent and the independent
investigation and occupy the first line in the

5 young designers emerged
during the last Barcelona
Fashion Week:
Ana Balboa
A combination of sophistication,
femininity and an exquisite taste
in all creative levels, from line to
volume and rich materials,
without losing freshness and
surprise in a romantic, poetic and
mixed collection.
Arnau P. Bosch
Anecdotal becomes capital,
lucidity in playful and a medley of
custom printing, color abrasives
and cross-bordering on the line.
He defines a new suburbs luxury
full of little treasures.
Alejandra Anglada
A coherent collection of an
impeccable styling made by
different garments that reach
unity by being added up, and
they contribute with
controlled risk, intelligence
and good taste on their own.
An inviting refinement, sharp
and radical.
Luis Manteiga
A surprising management of
volume and line in contemporary
man, because of the risky cut of
clothing and the freshness in color
and materials, creating
unexpected non gravitational
sculptures.
Mercedes Fernandez
Menswear to which the enriching
practice of craftwork is added up, thanks
to manual interventions in fabric’s
aspect and the increasingly valued detail
of hand-made things. A new image for
young men from the very near future,
primitivism and the main essence of arts
from a contemporary language applied
to the most modern.
Some fashion trends emerged
during the last Barcelona
Fashion Week:
Ethical Fashion
2nd Hand Clothes Customisation
