Madame Tussauds Bangkok is no old-fashioned wax museum. For the entertainment value and a
chance to rub shoulders with world celebrities, heads of state, activists, sports heroes and
heroines, legendary artists, and even royalty, the museum is worth checking out. Madame
Tussauds Bangkok has a revolutionary concept for wax attraction with special interactive features

4. Temples –
· Wat Arun,
locally known as Wat Chaeng, is situated on the west (Thonburi) bank of the Chao Phraya River. It
is easily one of the most stunning temples in Bangkok, not only because of its riverside location,
but also because the design is very different to the other temples you can visit in Bangkok. Wat
Arun (or temple of the dawn) is partly made up of colourfully decorated spires and stands
majestically over the water. Wat Arun is almost directly opposite Wat Pho, so it is very easy to get
to. From Sapphan Taksin boat pier you can take a river boat that stops at pier 8. From here a
small shuttle boat takes you from one side of the river to the other for only 3 baht. Entry to the
temple is 100 baht. The temple is open daily from 08:30 to 17:30.
Opening Hours: 08:00 -17:30
Location: Located on the west side of Chao Praya River (opposite Tha Thien Pier)

Golden Budha
Located at the end of Chinatown's Yaowarat Road, near Hualampong Railway Station, Wat
Traimit houses the world's largest massive gold seated Buddha measuring nearly five metres in
height and weighing five and a half tons. In the past, artisans crafted the Buddhas in gold and
disguised them from invading armies by a covering of stucco and plaster.
Opening Hours: 09:00 - 17:00
Location: Traimit Road (west of Hua Lampong Station), at the very beginning of Chinatown
· Wat Pho-
Wat Pho temple complex

Wat Pho (the Temple of the Reclining Buddha), or Wat Phra Chetuphon, is located behind the
Temple of the Emerald Buddha and a must-do for any first-time visitor in Bangkok. It's one of the
largest temple complexes in the city and famed for its giant reclining Buddha that measures 46
metres long and is covered in gold leaf. It’s an easy ten minute walk between here and the
Grand Palace, and we recommend coming to Wat Pho second, because even though the
golden Buddha here is just as popular many people don’t take the time to wander around the
rest of the complex so the experience tends to be far more relaxing. This is also a great place to
get a traditional Thai massage. Wat Pho is often considered the leading school of massage in
Thailand, so you really are in good hands here. Since December 2012,
Entrance Fee : 100 baht
Visiting timings: 08:00 and 17:00.
· Wat Phra Kaew / Temple of the Emerald Buddha
Wat Phra Kaew-Temple of the Emerald Buddha
(officially known as Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram) is regarded as the most important Buddhist
temple in Thailand. Located in the historic centre of Bangkok, within the grounds of the Grand
Palace, it enshrines Phra Kaew Morakot (the Emerald Buddha), the highly revered Buddha image
meticulously
Opening Hours: 8.30 am to 3.30 pm
Location: Na Phralan, Phra Nakorn (inside Grand Palace complex), Old City (Rattanakosin)
Dress Code: no short pants or short skirts, not sleeveless tshirts.
Price Range: 400 Baht!

- The floating markets in Bangkok are one of the country’s biggest attractions. Although the road
has replaced many of the waterways, their unmistakable charm makes them destinations worth
visiting. There are many and you can spend your holiday checking out these floating markets in
and around Bangkok on weekdays and weekends. The ones that are not located in Bangkok are
easily accessible in the least possible time. Make sure you do not miss them out while making your
list of places to visit in Thailand. The famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, known for its maze
of canals and considered one of the most popular floating markets. See coconut brown sugar
being made by locals. Enjoy a longtail boat ride through small canals and local fruit plantations
and houses.
7. SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World
SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World
Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World is an aquarium in Bangkok, Thailand, the largest in South East Asia.
It covers approximately 10,000 square meters with hundreds of different species on display in
exhibits totalling about 5,000,000 liters.
SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World (formerly Siam Ocean World) is located two storeys underneath
the glitzy Siam Paragon shopping mall. It is an aquatic wonderland the size of three Olympic
swimming pools full of interesting animals from the ocean deep. This underground aquarium, one
of the largest in Southeast Asia, will dazzle you with innovative world-class exhibits and over 30,000
curious looking creatures from various depths and aquatic regions across the globe. Meet some
of the world’s record holders, transported all the way from the Amazon River or the Jurassic period
when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. Greet the ocean’s deadliest predators in the 270-degree
underwater tunnel, sneak a peek into the open ocean from a glass-bottom boat, or, if you really
can’t resist, dive in and have a swim amongst the sharks and rays. For kids, a few hours spent at
SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World will be as educational as it is exhilarating and memorable.

  • 6. TRAVEL GUIDE by Mohammed Asif -The Travel Expert mohammedasifonline@gmail.com Wat Pho (the Temple of the Reclining Buddha), or Wat Phra Chetuphon, is located behind the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and a must-do for any first-time visitor in Bangkok. It's one of the largest temple complexes in the city and famed for its giant reclining Buddha that measures 46 metres long and is covered in gold leaf. It’s an easy ten minute walk between here and the Grand Palace, and we recommend coming to Wat Pho second, because even though the golden Buddha here is just as popular many people don’t take the time to wander around the rest of the complex so the experience tends to be far more relaxing. This is also a great place to get a traditional Thai massage. Wat Pho is often considered the leading school of massage in Thailand, so you really are in good hands here.
