Ban Pha Lak is a new Hmong resettled village located 30 km from the main road in Vientiane Province, Laos. In 2007, 66 Hmong people were resettled in the village, which consists of 50 single-story houses each measuring 4x6 meters. The Lao government provided 400 hectares of surrounding land and will help the resettled people become self-sufficient. Future development plans include building 100 new houses, setting up two irrigation systems, expanding farming land to 400 hectares, connecting electricity, and building a health care unit and elementary school.
