BAGS4U/CASH4CLOTHES
BAGS4U/CASH4CLOTHES
In May 2013 Pathway2work received
an email from an employer, BAGS4U/
CASH4CLOTHES, who were desperate
to recruit Customer Service staff at
their new depot in Castle Vale. Their
turnaround time was immediate, and
if they did not have staff in place, they
could have lost their unit.
Pathway2Work Birmingham responded
quickly and met with their HR Manager,
Jodie Whitehouse. Our Employer
Engagement Officer, Sushil Toora and
Manager, Haroon Baig, met with her
assessed her needs, and then with
advisors at Birmingham provided clients
for interview.
On the 29th May, two Work Programme clients started work for the employer. Since,
since then a further four clients have been employed by them.
The employer then secured a partnership with Tesco in order to commence rolling
out Cash4Clothes (Bags4uDirect) units on Tesco sites starting with West Bromwich.
In October Pathway2Work Birmingham successfully pre-screened and placed two
further clients in employment at the new flagship West Bromwich branch.
Jodie Whitehouse attended at Pathway2Work attended in centre prior to the clients
starting employment, and expressed her gratitude at the quality of these clients.
The relationship has been forged to such an extent that Jodie now will employ
based upon Sushil and Haroon’s assessment of candidates, without even having to
meet them.
A third client will be starting work at the Cash4Clothes West Bromwich branch on
18th November, and Pathway2Work will have exclusivity on ALL further units rolled
out at Tesco sites across the region.
