3.  Oral Malodor is the term especially used to describe the odor coming from the oral cavity.
 It affects a large proportion of population.
 The intensity of bad breath differs during the day.
 The odor is usually worse upon awakening because the mouth is dry and inactive during the night.
 At least 90% of all malodor originates from oral cavity whereas remaining 10% has systemic/local causes.
