This document discusses the differences between meditation and Total Stress Management (TSM). It provides instructions for different meditation techniques but warns that people are often selling and buying meditation for petty reasons like stress management. TSM involves understanding stress at its root causes and treating it holistically through intellectual efforts, whereas meditation focuses on temporary emotional relief. TSM also aims for social welfare in addition to individual welfare. The concepts of TSM are new and not accepted by existing traditions, resulting in its slower adoption.
Bathing has profound physical, mental and spiritual benefits beyond simple cleaning. It directly influences all cells in the body through its effects on the nervous, endocrine, immune and metabolic systems. While the details are not fully understood, bathing improves physical health, energy levels, strength, purity, longevity, health, willpower and destroys bad dreams through stimulating various body systems. It also improves enlightened intelligence and shifts one's consciousness to a more accurate state. Reciting prayers before bathing further connects one to their culture and lineage, combating feelings of isolation. Diabetics may experience benefits from bathing thrice daily such as improved metabolism and diabetes management.

This document discusses the importance of effectively managing stress. It states that to manage stress, one must understand its nature, causes, effects, and principles of management. For more effective management of conceptual stress, it is essential to improve one's views, feelings, and actions by studying issues relevant to one's field. Ineffective management of stress can have adverse effects not just on individuals but on society as well, comparable to an infectious disease. Therefore, effective stress management is vitally important for one's own well-being and that of society.
Beliefs of some kind are a natural human frailty that help provide emotional solace and determine behavior. While scientific theories are also a type of belief, they are based on observations of apparent progress in nature but cannot be fully verified. True freedom from superstitions and dogmas can only come from living beyond the senses through self-realization, which is said to be possible through regular remembrance of the divine name (NAMASMARAN).

Maniacal tendencies refer to desires that become excessive, unreasonable, coercive, and violent. Severe forms of mania can be dangerous. To prevent maniacal tendencies, one should introspect to determine how reasonable and important their desires are, and whether fulfilling those desires could harm others. Practicing NAMASMARAN, which involves remembering God, can help avoid disasters caused by maniacal tendencies, even for those without religious beliefs.

Consciousness develops through biological growth but can be influenced by disturbing impulses from the unconscious realm. Conscience evolves from consciousness and can overcome unconscious impulses. Conscience is associated with noble actions, universal love, and justice, while consciousness can be associated with conflicts and violence. The cultivation of a universal conscience through practices like NAMASMARAN is the culmination of human civilization and leads to a spiritual renaissance and experience of creative bliss.
The document discusses a lack of proper functional connections between various aspects of human existence including metabolism and the nervous system, masculinity and femininity, the individual and the universe, and matter and consciousness. It argues that establishing these functional connections is needed to address problems faced by Dr. Shrinivas Kashalikar related to integrating different parts of human existence on biological, psychological and spiritual levels.

Human physiology is the study of how the human body functions. It has evolved over time to encompass molecular, cellular, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, and other areas of focus. Applied human physiology includes fields like space physiology, sports physiology, exercise physiology, and clinical physiology. Going forward, human physiology aims to better understand the interrelationships between human consciousness, the external environment, and insights from ancient wisdom traditions in order to apply that knowledge to individual and social life.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive functioning. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms.

The document discusses the essence of sex and whether sexual gratification can contribute to total life fulfillment. While intense desire and coming together is a common experience for opposite sexes, the physical and emotional union does not provide permanent fulfillment or prevent couples from breaking away. The author questions if the essence of sex is cursed with a feeling of incompletion or if individuals miss its true essence.
The document discusses the concept of unconditioned happiness from the perspective of Dr. Shriniwas Kashalikar. It describes how saints exemplify equanimity in difficult situations, which is highly esteemed in the Bhagavad Gita. Initially, the author failed to appreciate this state of mind, thinking it was akin to depression, surrender, or indifference. However, it is realized that this state is when one rises above perceptions and influences of senses, endocrine systems, and the limbic system - a trans-physical, trans-physiological, and trans-psychological state of consciousness. In this state, one appears unaffected but can interact with situations through articulation, physical actions, or mystical
Sex is like a horse that must be tamed and ridden to reach fulfillment. Carrying sexual urges without satisfaction will exhaust one. Sex is a vehicle to fuel happiness and welfare for oneself and others when practiced mindfully. Understanding this blessing can be achieved through practice of mindfulness to fully enjoy life's pleasures and share the benefits with others.
Human physiology is the study of the functioning of living human beings. It originally referred to the study of nature but came to focus on how humans and other living things function. Today, human physiology includes the study of molecular, cellular, endocrine, cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Applied fields of human physiology also examine how physiology relates to areas like space, sports, exercise, altitude and clinical medicine. Human physiology is now understood as the study of dynamic interactions between humans and their total external and internal environments over time.
This document discusses the importance of romance in life. It states that romance is the vital energy and light that fuels life. It suggests that for one's life to blossom with romance, everything one possesses, uses, practices, consumes, indulges in or enjoys must reach their highest potential. It recommends the practice of NAMASMARAN as opening the door for all activities to culminate in ecstasy and for romance to be sustained.
Physical intercourse fulfills biological and individual needs but leaves the mind unsatisfied and restless. True happiness comes from realizing a grand union of one's inner self with the universe, described as an ecstatic intercourse. This realization can inspire holistic perspectives and policies that benefit health, education, and society on individual and global levels.
This document provides an overview of Practical Superliving, which is described as realizing simultaneous individual liberation and universal welfare through Total Stress Management (TSM). TSM is presented as a conscious evolutionary transformation that liberates individuals from suffering to experience A-grade happiness. Key aspects of TSM discussed include namasmarn (remembrance of the divine), physical measures like exercise and massage, managing instincts like hunger and sex, and dealing with emotions and relationships in a way that promotes common goals and missions. The document advocates for policies that support holistic health, education and other areas of life to develop a society where individuals and the collective can both thrive.
This document discusses a study on the role of Uttar Basti (medicated oil administered through the urethra) in treating urethral strictures. 210 patients received 5 sessions of Uttar Basti with sesame oil, honey and rock salt at weekly intervals. Symptoms improved considerably and follow up over 5 years found no recurrences. Uttar Basti was found to be an effective, non-invasive treatment for urethral strictures with minimal complications compared to conventional surgeries.
Fear is systematically generated and propagated by industries like insurance, medicine, cosmetics, and politics to drive profits. This unfounded fear of natural products like ghee, coconut oil, and salt has led to businesses promoting alternative products. While this financial gain leads to sick competition, it ultimately spreads dissatisfaction, disturbance, disease, and global decay. Spiritual growth through practices like remembrance of God's name may be what is essential for individual and global welfare.
The document discusses the experience of love and why it often leaves one feeling wanting. It states that love enthralls our entire existence but also makes us feel helpless due to our dependence on metabolism, hormones and nervous system. When our love is not reciprocated, it reflects this helplessness. However, the document suggests that it is possible to love freely without feeling helpless through the practice of NAMASMARAN, and encourages the reader to verify this possibility.
Physical intercourse fulfills biological and individual needs but does not provide lasting satisfaction or peace. While acquiring material goods and power can bring pleasure, one remains unsatisfied. True happiness is found through realizing a grand union of one's inner self with the inner essence of the universe, an experience described as an ecstatically satisfying intercourse. This ecstatic union provides a holistic perspective that can inspire holistic policies, planning, and implementations across various fields to improve individual and global welfare.
An individual or organization is not necessarily antinational just because they did not participate in political freedom movements. There are several valid reasons why one may not have participated, such as focusing on social reforms, religious issues, atheism, nationalism based on culture/religion rather than politics, or prioritizing the welfare of their own caste/group. Now that India is independent, it is important to move past petty disagreements and accept that all viewpoints contained some truth and error, in order to build a shared vision for progress.
This document discusses total stress management (TSM) or superliving as a way to achieve individual liberation and universal welfare. It provides guidance on practices like meditation, yoga, exercise, diet, relationships and emotional well-being that can help reduce stress and cultivate well-being. The key ideas are that superliving involves refining our perceptions, feelings and responses; it must be done consciously with top priority; and can help overcome challenges like family issues, careers dissatisfaction and social problems if integrated into our daily lives and larger policies.
Gandhi had a profound vision for universal progress through sociopolitical programs that were almost completely faithful to his perceptions, widely acceptable, and highly feasible. While many great people have had either a vision for humanity or led major efforts for people's welfare, Gandhi had both a vision and led huge endeavors for mankind. Additionally, few know that Gandhi continuously practiced remembering God's name. Today, there is a need to precisely translate universal philosophies, visions, and plans into actions at all levels of society, as Gandhi did.
Violence occurs either impulsively or through planned action by individuals or groups and stems from a failure to properly channel mental energy. While destruction can sometimes benefit individuals by removing diseased cells, most philosophies and ethics seek to discipline harmful or perverse behaviors that damage humanity or the natural world.

The document discusses restlessness as one of life's greatest enigmas. It describes restlessness as having an unknown origin and not being related to any particular want, though it can be compounded by things like hunger, thirst, insecurity, and sexual deprivation. The author complains about many things in life and finds that activities like sports, exercise, and hobbies do not fulfill or alleviate his restlessness. His restlessness is exacerbated when confronted with conflicts between ideas of morality and the harsh realities of life. To address his immense but potentially beneficial restlessness, he must channel it and guide it through holistic development in all areas of life.

10 Benefits an EPCR Software should Bring to EMS Organizations Traumasoft LLC
The benefits of an ePCR solution should extend to the whole EMS organization, not just certain groups of people or certain departments. It should provide more than just a form for entering and a database for storing information. It should also include a workflow of how information is communicated, used and stored across the entire organization.

Mercurius is named after the roman god mercurius, the god of trade and science. The planet mercurius is named after the same god. Mercurius is sometimes called hydrargyrum, means ‘watery silver’. Its shine and colour are very similar to silver, but mercury is a fluid at room temperatures. The name quick silver is a translation of hydrargyrum, where the word quick describes its tendency to scatter away in all directions.
The droplets have a tendency to conglomerate to one big mass, but on being shaken they fall apart into countless little droplets again. It is used to ignite explosives, like mercury fulminate, the explosive character is one of its general themes.

3. “Lie down in the open on your terrace.
Focus your mind on the blue and clear
sky. Gradually the sky would enter in
you. You would have transcended mind.”
“Sit in lotus position. Let the atmosphere
in your room be free of insects, free of
dust, free of noise and free of other
distractions. You may light an incense
stick. You can have a photo or painting of
your Guru or a deity who elevates your
mood or inspires you. Then begin by
breathing slowly and observe your
breathing.”
“Sit in a lotus posture. Breathe slowly.
Focus your mind on a spot at your navel”
4. “Observe a round spot on a plane
background of the wall. Sit quietly. Let
the thoughts flow.”
The instructions vary according to the
different traditions! What is this all
about? The readers would have easily
gathered that these are the instructions
for different
‘meditation’ techniques. Everyone is
selling and buying so called ‘meditation’
in the petty and vain hope of stress
management! Hence; Beware of
“Meditation!”
What is the difference between
“meditation” and TSM? Why are
“mediation” or relaxation techniques in
great demand than TSM?
5. 1] TSM (Total Stress Management)
constitutes understanding the concept of
STRESS, going to its root causes and then
treating them in a holistic manner, as
completely as possible! This requires
active intellectual efforts by the
participants. Active intellectual
participation makes it more
difficult and less popular as compared to
relaxation programs in some form of
meditation,
pranayama, devotion, some arbitrary tips
in the management books etc. where
temporary emotional solace comes easily.
2] TSM constitutes efforts towards
simultaneous welfare of one and all and
not merely individual welfare. This
requires broadening of perspective. We
6. can call this paradigm shift. This also
makes it more difficult and less popular
because everyone is already preoccupied
and hard pressed with personal problems
of one kind or the other. Coming out of
one’s own “individual and
petty universe” is a burden for most of us,
because we fail to understand how
welfare of others would contribute to our
welfare!
3] Most of us are not aware of the concept
of STRESS. The STRESS is equated with
tension, anxiety, worry, sleeplessness,
irritability, depression, frustration etc.
Actually this is only a small and conscious
part of STRESS. STRESS is universal.
Every living being has STRESS. STRESS
is actually conscious and also
unconscious. Unconscious STRESS forms
7. a major part and is not perceived! This
leaves most of us to falsely believe that we
do not have STRESS!
4]TSM teaches that perspective, policies,
planning, execution of sound intellectual
solutions to personal and social problems
can not be substituted by un-intellectual
emotional games such as so called
meditation and so called devotion and so
called charity. It teaches that
real meditation, real devotion and real
charity are impossible in absence of
intellectual
efforts to rectify social homeostasis!
Most of us feel that it is impossible to
solve social problems and hence fail to do
our own bit in this direction.
8. Most of us have yet to appreciate that;
giving parties, donations, gifts and doing
charity in other forms though not
objectionable, can at best satisfy our ego.
Even though, there is nothing wrong in
such emotional gratification, it can not
help you to manage stress effectively!
Acquiring and spreading wisdom; so as
to solve individual and social problems;
is unique in satisfying your conscience,
i.e. your true self, but it is not easy!
5] The concept of TSM is relatively new.
The people from media, politics, religion
and other fields are not aware of TSM. It
is also true that due to the frenzy of
material success; they do not feel the
thirst of their innate self [soul] and hence
9. may not care to learn about TSM. It is
strange but true that people in scarcity
[due to frustration] and people in
abundance [due to delirious
obliviousness] are not able to quickly
grasp TSM and practice it.
6] TSM aims at harmony between
perspective, intelligence, emotions,
instincts and body; and aims at best
efforts of global welfare through laws,
rules, conventions and so on.
7] TSM firmly upholds individual
freedom to achieve total well being and
suggests us to acquire and practice such
freedom!
8] The conceptualization of TSM was
indeed a slow process. It was quite some
10. time before sufficient conviction was
developed in the accuracy and
appropriateness of TSM. This was
because TSM was not a part of already
existing tradition. It did not receive
practical support from any atheist [non-
believers] or theist [God-believers]
tradition. The
conviction had to result from one’s own
understanding and experiences.
9] The process of developing conviction
was delayed partly because of
demoralization
resulting from non acceptance by the
traditions and also their opponents!
10] Relative delay in acceptance and
publication of books due to various other
reasons! The delay in the work was
11. sometimes [though erroneously]
interpreted as God’s wish!
11] Sometimes there was apprehension
[whether justified or otherwise] of the
possibility
of being misunderstood and sabotaged.
12] Sometimes there was dominance of
asceticism and to some extent frustration
that led to inaction or non-assertion.
Sometimes this led to escapism of one sort
or the other.
13] There was many times a feeling of
uncertainty of life leading to sense of
urgency of TSM and SUPERLIVING
mission. This urgency was subjective and
obviously not shared in action; by most
12. individuals and hence the delay in the
work was further enhanced.
14] Dictatorial attitude and nurturing of
vested interests was scrupulously avoided.
It is known that most of the times the
work gets going faster because of fear or
because of
vested interest. Since both of these lacked,
mission superliving and TSM was further
delayed.
15] Lack of apparent glamour and glitter
of superficiality and pettiness. The
excitement associated with glamour and
glitter is missing in mission superliving
and TSM for an immature individual.
Hence it did not pick the fancy of even
talented individuals.
13. 16] Some of the books on TSM are
comparatively less lucid and little more
tedious. This is so because the emphasis is
given on accuracy rather than literary
qualities.
17] Everything has its own time. When
the social psyche gets ready for digesting
certain concepts (oneness of spiritualism
and materialism); they spread like wild
fire and become vogue of the day.
18] It is also possible that there are still
some inaccuracies and or deficiencies left
in TSM, which is why it is not as popular
as one would have liked it to be.
19] The personal deficiencies of the
propounder may also account for
14. inadequate spread and influence of the
TSM.
20] Inertia of the sympathizers resulting
from various reasons on the one hand and
lack of finesse and irritability of those
involved; due to urgency and impatience
on the other; probably made the progress
tardy and checkered.
