This document discusses starting herbal gardens in schools to educate students and teachers about medicinal plants. It describes developing herbal gardens at several participating schools, where students were given individual plants to care for. Teachers and students were trained on the various herbal plants and their economic and medicinal uses. The goal is to help revive the traditional knowledge of herbal plants and create eco-conscious citizens. Sensory gardens were also developed to teach visually impaired children plant identification through smell, taste, and touch.
