Public cloud platforms are important for the future. Many organizations have made big bets, and are continuing to evaluate their options in the public and hybrid cloud arena. Microsoft has become a major player in the public cloud space, but it has plenty of competitors: Amazon, Google, OpenStack, Salesforce/Force.com and more. How do these providers compare to Azure? And whatâs likely to happen in the industry as we move into the future? Join Richard Harbridge as he provides guidance and advice for how Azure measures up based on customer experience and industry insights.

Abstract:
Artificial intelligence is progressing rapidly, and if AI has versatility and autonomy, it can have a big impact on humanity. Against this background, discussions for building relationships between AI and human beings have become popular.
For example, Partners on AI, Future of Humanity Institute (FHI) and IEEE Global Initiative are famous. Also in Japan, the Ethics Committee of the Japanese Society of Artificial Intelligence, the AI Society Study Group, the Acceptable Intelligence with Responsibility (AIR), the Robotics Study Group, the General AI Research Committee etc are active.
Under these circumstances, our NPO WBAI promotes open co-creation through the whole brain architecture approach, with the vision of "a world with artificial intelligence harmonized with humanity". In this approach, the mission is to "learn from the architecture of the whole brain and create generic artificial intelligence like people".
Its main reason to learn from the brain to make AGI better is to make AGI to behave similarly to human beings, to facilitate the creation of AGI, and to collaborate on the architecture of the brain AGI to be shared by many people Can be induced.
WBAI intends to increase influence by broadening our ideas and contribute to being developed globally in the form of AGI globally.

Deep Learning Explained: The future of Artificial Intelligence and Smart Netw...Melanie Swan
Â
This talk provides an overview of an important emerging artificial intelligence technology, deep learning neural networks. Deep learning is a branch of computer science focused on machine learning algorithms that model and make predictions about data. A key distinction is that deep learning is not merely a software program, but a new class of information technology that is changing the concept of the modern technology project by replacing hard-coded software with a capacity to learn and execute tasks. In the future, deep learning smart networks might comprise a global computational infrastructure tackling real-time data science problems such as global health monitoring, energy storage and transmission, and financial risk assessment.
The training content covers:
- Basics of Artificial Intelligence
- Penetration of AI in our daily lives
- Few examples and Use cases
- A brief on how future with AI looks like

Abstract:
When you have a data-centric problem to solve and you look for a technology to support you with this: The machine intelligence landscape can be overwhelming.
I analysed the landscape using a data-driven approach and condensed the outcome into a consumable form.
Additionally, I came to the conclusion that there is a set of questions you have to ask yourself to make the best possible choice for your situation.
This talk will cover these questions and present the analysis results on the basis of these.

The term artificial intelligence is ubiquitous these days. It is being used or is supposed to be used, in almost all areas to automate processes or help us make decisions. AI that teaches robots to do backflips, informs passengers about perfect routes, and determines the perfect order quantity for retailers. But what is actually behind it?
In this talk, I would like to take a look behind the scenes of AI and show you what actually happens to solve such exciting use cases intelligently. Using some practical examples from my project work in the field of data science, I will show you the importance of mathematical modelling and understanding the data to solve the use case. The more you understand about it, the less it is artificial intelligence.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
Â
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more âmechanicalâ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
LF Energy Webinar: Electrical Grid Modelling and Simulation Through PowSyBl -...DanBrown980551
Â
Do you want to learn how to model and simulate an electrical network from scratch in under an hour?
Then welcome to this PowSyBl workshop, hosted by Rte, the French Transmission System Operator (TSO)!
During the webinar, you will discover the PowSyBl ecosystem as well as handle and study an electrical network through an interactive Python notebook.
PowSyBl is an open source project hosted by LF Energy, which offers a comprehensive set of features for electrical grid modelling and simulation. Among other advanced features, PowSyBl provides:
- A fully editable and extendable library for grid component modelling;
- Visualization tools to display your network;
- Grid simulation tools, such as power flows, security analyses (with or without remedial actions) and sensitivity analyses;
The framework is mostly written in Java, with a Python binding so that Python developers can access PowSyBl functionalities as well.
What you will learn during the webinar:
- For beginners: discover PowSyBl's functionalities through a quick general presentation and the notebook, without needing any expert coding skills;
- For advanced developers: master the skills to efficiently apply PowSyBl functionalities to your real-world scenarios.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Â
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

4. Machine learning
Learning means changes in a system that have adaptive character, so a system may realize the same or similar task in a more
efficient way with every next attempt. - Herbert Simon (1983)
Learning is a constructing and changing the representation of experienced facts. - Ryszard Michalski (1986)
Learning system uses external empirical data in order to create and update foundations for improved activity in the future
when based on similar data. - Donald Michie (1991)
https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uczenie_maszynowe#Wsp.C3.B3.C5.82czesne_definicje_uczenia_si.C4.99
6. Why?
Exponential growth of data (social networks, IoT â Internet of Things) - 44 tryllions of GB will be
generated till 2020
Cheap data storage
Big computing power of personal computers
Real influence on profits
World (and especially human behavior) is based on patterns
In 2013 roku 22% of data was valuable for analysis, but only 5% from that was analyzed. Till 2020
35% of data will be valuable for analysis
15. Pros :) and cons.. :(
Cloud based (no need for infrastructure)
Web application (no maintenance/management costs)
No access to trained model
Many algorithms and ease of use
Possibility to use R and Python scripts
Accessibility via Webservices
