the autumn revolution of 1918, being
elected president of the Romanian
National Council in Orastie.
Following the Great National
Assembly in Alba Iulia on December
1, 1918, Aurel Vlad was elected a
member of the Congressional
Council, distributing his financial
resources
He was arrested by the Securitate in
Sibiu on the night of 5/6 May 1950,
the night of the dignitaries at the
age of 75 was brought to the Sighet
Prison on 7 May, being "interned" for
24 months. It was subsequently
included in the M.A.I. no. 334/1951.
Although he had already died in the
Sighet penitentiary on July 2, 1953,
according to the M.A.I. No 559 of 6
August 1953, his sentence was
increased by 60 months.
