• In 1993, L. Z. Vogel and Stavroula Savva published a paper about
the psychological type of a group of people. Their research
concerned individuals who, as children, were asked to provide

with the result of missing important aspects of their childhood..
They cite Buffy from Buffy The Vampire Slayer as an example

• This psychological condition has been part of a
galore of popular culture. Called the paradise
syndrome, it is the central theme in the Simon And

their album Sound of Silence. The song explores the

Agent Smith interrogates Morpheus in the movie The

his 1954 book Seduction of the Innocent.
• According to his description, people who are affected by this
give themselves an unhealthy feeling of responsibility.
They feel the need to save everyone around themselves
and that no one can do their job better than they can do it
themselves.

• Madonna–whore complex is the inability to maintain sexual arousal
within a committed, loving relationship.

to develop in men who see women as either saintly Madonnas or
debased prostitutes. Men with this complex desire a sexual partner
who has been degraded (the whore) while they cannot desire the
respected partner (the Madonna).
• This trope has been used in shows like The Handmaid's Tale, in which
women characters either wear red(a sign of fertility) or
blue(signifying their sainthood).
• What specifically were the inspirations behind the choice of
colors?
4.
• This syndrome is a feeling of grief and
loneliness parents may feel when their
children leave home for the first time, such
as to live on their own or to attend a college or
university.
• Especially common in full time mothers, what
name does it take seeking inspiration from
the avian world?

• Students and researchers at Indraprastha Institute of Information
Technology (IIIT) in Delhi are developing a kit that would allow one
to assemble his or her own robot that would respond to voice and
music commands.
• According to the developers, the robot follows command from
stories that are being recited. It picks up the cue for actions from
certain key words, while its mood is determined by the music played.
• For instance, if the story is about a thirsty camel roaming in the desert,
then a keyword like roaming would determine the action of the robot.
Also, the raag ‘Desh’ depicts a happy mood of the robot, while ‘Jaunpuri’
shows gloom and ‘Shree’ displays anger.
• What name did they give to the robot, inspired from those who
play sidekicks in traditional folk theatre while demonstrating that
user who commands and the robot share a master-sidekick bond?

• The essence of this art form X is that it is rooted in tradition.
Thus the “tools” that they use are manufactured in accordance
with tradition. This explains the fact that the tool is mostly
manufactured in mostly three colours, pale pink, cream or nude.
Therefore, women of colour had to rely on a process called
pancaking, applying foundation or powder to their tools, which
lead to quick softening of their tool and thus frequent
replacement
• Now, manufacturing company Freed of London along with
another institute have decided to manufacture these in two
colours, black and bronze, which is nearly two centuries after
the tool first began appearing. Freed explains that since the
manufacturing of the tools is pretty complex, the new tools have
been a year in development.
• Where are these tools used?
32.
