6. The New York City Waterfall
這一項耗資美金1,500萬，由公共藝術基金會（The Public Art Fund）負責，名為紐約
瀑布（The NewYork City Waterfall）的 公共裝置藝術工程，6月26日起至10月13日，
長達將近四個月的期間，每天上午7點至晚上10點，分別在紐約市的四處地點展示
大型人工瀑布，包括布魯克 林大橋下的船舶停泊點、曼哈頓橋北邊35號碼頭、布
魯克林4號與5號碼頭之間、總督島（Governors Island），日落後並有燈光照明。依照
Car & Travel Monthly雜誌的建議，一 次看完四座人工瀑布的最佳觀光路線，就是
搭乘紐約港的觀光遊艇Circle Line Downtown。
四座大型的人工瀑布高度從90到120呎，最高的兩座大約與自由女神像從頭到腳的
高度一樣。這項展覽由丹麥藝術家Olafur Eliasson設計，是繼2005年中央公園內
大型裝置藝術品－－「門」之後最大的公共藝術作品，預計將為紐約市帶來美金
5,500萬的觀光收入。
