audience, Jamal is someone who is 
chasing a dream and committed to that 
dream. He has a part-time job at JD 
Sports which funds his daily life and so 
he can fund himself for aspects of his 
dream. He’s also a college student 
studying Media, Economics and Music. 
OVERVIEW: Jamal is a young teenage 
man who enjoys listening to English rap 
music. He is a committed and 
hardworking individual who is focused 
and motivated to do well in life. He 
challenges the stereotypical view of 
teenagers as he isn’t lazy and isn’t 
always ‘on the streets’. Despite being 
brought up in an urban environment, he 
wants to get out and make his own 
money from being his own boss. Jamal 
is a family orientated and wants to make 
his family proud of him through success. 
LIFESTYLE: In terms of the UK Tribes 
categories, our artist would appeal to 
those that fall in the category of the 
“GET PAID CREW”. Get Paid Crew have 
two main goals in life – to make money 
and be their own boss. Motivated, 
resourceful and determined, Tribe 
members grow up in the Urban sprawl 
and are determined to emerge 
successful on their own terms and 
receive the respect and income they 
deserve. Jamal shops at places such as 
JD, Footlocker and Topman which are 
the typical brands associated with 
teenage appearance and clothing within 
the UK. The main brands associated 
with his day-to-day life are Apple and 
Youtube. This is because he is constantly 
on his phone to keep in contact with 
people and is always keeping up to date 
with music within his country.
