Scanning tunneling hydrogen microscopy (STHM) uses molecular hydrogen or deuterium condensed in a low-temperature scanning tunneling microscope to achieve a new type of high-resolution imaging. This microscope can image the inner structure of large flat organic molecules and intermolecular interactions in organic monolayer films.
