Introduction
• Development of an IoT-based ATM security system using Arduino technology.
• RFID technology is employed to ensure secure ATM entry, allowing only authorized
users with the proper credentials.
• A GSM module enables remote management, allowing security officers to send SMS
commands for ATM security operation.
• Incorporates gas/smoke sensors for suspicious activities.
• This remote control capability enhances flexibility
Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology,Chikkamagaluru 4
Problem Statement
ATM security concerns, including cash trapping and physical security lapses, often arise
in isolated locations, leading to delayed incident responses. This project offers a cost-
effective solution to ATM security.
• Input:
The customer RFID card is given as input.security operations are controlled by
given the commands
• Processing:
• Authentication of RFID card data, verifying access privileges for ATM entry.
• Continuous monitoring of gas/smoke sensor readings for potential security
breaches.
• Interpretation of incoming SMS commands for remote control of the ATM
door.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology,Chikkamagaluru 5
• Real-time analysis of security events to trigger alarms, alerts, and responses.
• Output :
• Secure entry through RFID authentication for authorized individuals.
• Timely alerts and notifications for unauthorized access or security incidents.
• Remote control of the ATM door through SMS commands for authorized
personnel.
