King The Kid - With the release of their debut single and music video, “We Are
The Ones“, the newly formed rock band, King The Kid has announced the release of
their upcoming album "Start Something" for December 20, 2012.
King the Kid consists of Ricky Ficarelli, David Michael Frank and Jose Mostajo,
each bringing their own style, experience and musical talents to this highly
talented collaborative ensemble.
Ricky, born and raised in Wellington, Florida, starting playing drums at the
early age of 7. Over the past two years Ricky has released over 100 videos,
acquiring more than 125,000 subscribers and 25 million views to his credit. This
YouTube phenom brings his extraordinary drumming talent and infectious
personality to the group.
David, aka DMF, was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Seattle,
Washington. He is a classically trained singer who brings his rich and powerful
vocals, along with his writing, guitars and production talents to the band.
Jose, growing up in Lima, Peru, has lived in Argentina, Venezuela and Mexico,
eventually residing in Atlanta, Georgia. He studied guitar from the age of 13
and brings his exceptional playing and extraordinary passion to the band.
In keeping with the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts,
their first album offers a diverse blend of their individual styles and musical
experience. The collaborative effort produced songs that range from intimate
heartfelt to humorous and fun, to hard driving rock with clean and edgy
instrumentals. But above all, the the album was completely produced, written,
recorded and mixed by the band members themselves!
King the Kid spent several months locked away in the serenity of the beautiful
Cascade mountains of Oregon, intently focused on developing their chemistry and
honing their creative efforts to produce works of which they“re extremely proud.
With this first album under their belt, the band“s goal is to tour extensively
and to share their music with the world.
Their debut album, appropriately named “Start Something“ is due for release on
December 20, 2012.
