Saskatchewan author Arthur Slade visited Grade 8 students in Carman virtually to discuss his writing career, including how he got his start writing novels such as Dust and the funny experiences he had researching his books. He also provided updates on upcoming projects like a graphic novel version of Dust and his latest novel The Hunchback Assignments, which has attracted interest from Brad Pitt for a film adaptation. Students asked Mr. Slade various questions after his presentation.
