Food is a subject with lots of common words in all languages. Thus, our students have been
asked to write their favourite dishes in English and translate them into the other four
languages (Greek, Bulgarian, Romanian, Turkish). They used the web 2.0 tool
https://www.pbworks.com/ to work collaboratively.
After finding common words in the five languages the students have been given the
following situation and asked to write a dialogue:
You are in London and you are very hungry! You go to a restaurant but the waiter doesn’t
speak your mother tongue and you don’t speak English. What can you order? The waiter
understands at last what you want to order, but he mixes up the dishes. You ask politely for
your order.
Afterwards our students had to create a comic-strip using
