I opted for “This Land is My Land” topic due to my insightful interest to explore historical events related to patriotism and balancing power between Europeans and Natives in situations such as trade negotiations. The trade aspect drove me to be specific on the focus question that need to address the impacts of Pequot War to Europeans and Natives. In this case, the contact of both had profound effect where balance of power shifted overnight from natives to Europeans. My choice is therefore grounded on the enthusiasm to discover more knowledge into this particular aspect.

codes of professional conduct, is an important skill required of all healthcare professionals. By applying ethical decision making, you positively impact the
delivery of safe, quality healthcare.
Under certain circumstances, healthcare professionals can be sued by patients for malpractice; it is more common for physicians to be sued when patients are
injured or die as a result of their medical care. Healthcare professionals need a clear understanding of the elements of medical malpractice (standard of care,
breach, causation, and damages) and how they are applied by a judge in a court of law. Healthcare professionals play a critical role due to the nature of their

1: A company should evaluate there flow of information and departments and based in that decide who should have access to what information. Not every employee needs the access to company's important documents. The less people that have access the better. Also, another way that I have seen to prove work is when you have more than one persons authorization needed to access something. When a worked at a company in order for me to access some stuff I would need my supervisor to override for me and if he wasn't available the system required that 2 employees used there logins including mine to be able to access whatever I needed and they could not leave my sight until I was done. Ethical Issues that can come in play while doing school work and installing new system would be to not plagiarize. You don't want to spend all this money to go to school and learn nothing by cheating or using a security system that is easily accessible. If its a system that you can easily get in, a hacker would have no problem.

Documents, laptops, cell phones, and storage devices such as usb and flash drives should be secured by being locked up in an office, safe, or cabinet. There should be a limited of employees with access to the key and information. Paper files with business or consumer information must be shredded and discarded. It is better to shred the paperwork in house. A company I had previously worked for used to hire a company to shred their paperwork for them. Everyone would pile the sensitive information into a large locked bin, then the 'shredders' would pick up the bins and dump the paperwork into their trucks for shredding. On one occasion, the person picking up the bins accidentally dropped it and the papers spilled out and blew across the parking lot! Of course, strong passwords are necessary to secure sensitive data as well as encrypting information, establishing firewalls, anti virus programs, and hiring IT personnel.
3: I can say it is very important that all business owners have a method to protect all their records to keep all their paperwork in a safe place. Especially nowadays, i cant speak on how everyone else should run their business, but i can say as far as me trying to become a business owner i will have separate copies of everything that goes on in my business and have it secured in a safe place, or my own personal computer, and etc. In todays world sometimes you cant even trust your own staff so when it comes down to certain customers files i will have them secured so that i am the only one who can view it especially since i plan on opening up a nursing home for the elderly. Their information needs to be kept in a safe place so that not everyone can view their charts.

Question 1 – Supporting the Revolution: Imagine that you lived during the time of the American Revolutionary War and had the same socio/economic/racial/gender position you have right now. Would you support efforts to gain independence from Great Britain or would you be loyal to the crown? Be sure to explain why you choose the side that you do. Remember, forming a new republic is an extremely radical idea that had never succeeded before and that an American patriotic identity was just beginning to form. Also remember that obedience to the crown had been taught to colonists as the way to be good citizens. Finally, just like with the Seven Year’s War, support is not just signing up to fight but also supplying troops, providing information to one side or the other, etc. Thus, the question is relevant for both men and women as the support of both groups is needed in war.

World War II and then the Cold War increased the annual budget of the United States dramatically in the two decades from 1940 to 1960. During this period, the United States went from a reluctant participant in Western European culture to the military protector of Western Europe. The increase in the money spent on the military had enormous implications not only for the role of the United States in geopolitics, but also for the viability of democratic institutions within the United States. As members of congress became increasingly beholden to military contractors who supplied jobs in their congressional districts, the nature of politics in the United States changed significantly. In 1960, republican president Dwight Eisenhower called attention to what he originally labeled the military-industrial-congressional complex, a phrase that he later shortened to simply the military industrial complex.

decision making, where patients are encouraged to share their preferences and needs. The application of this model requires that healthcare professionals know
how to apply ethical theories such as patient autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, justice, and fidelity when caring for patients. On a daily basis, healthcare
professionals face ethical dilemmas involving patients and colleagues. Understanding how to effectively apply the code of ethics in your field, and various other
codes of professional conduct, is an important skill required of all healthcare professionals. By applying ethical decision making, you positively impact the
delivery of safe, quality healthcare.
Under certain circumstances, healthcare professionals can be sued by patients for malpractice; it is more common for physicians to be sued when patients are
injured or die as a result of their medical care. Healthcare professionals need a clear understanding of the elements of medical malpractice (standard of care,
breach, causation, and damages) and how they are applied by a judge in a court of law. Healthcare professionals play a critical role due to the nature of their
relationship with both patients and physicians. To remain competent and grow in the field, healthcare professionals are expected to understand how their
professional responsibility includes a wide-ranging accountability to self, their profession, their patients, and the public.
Your final case study for this course will require you to analyze a court decision in which a physician was found liable for medical malpractice. You will focus on
facts pertaining to the medical standard of care, breach of care, and causation, and explain how they were applied to law. You will then use the facts of the case
to identify an ethics issue and determine an ethical theory that would help provide a safe, quality healthcare experience for the patient. Next, you will apply a
clinician–patient shared decision-making model to describe how the ethics issue could be resolved. You will also include a discussion about possible violations of
the code of ethics in your given field. Lastly, you will augment or vary the facts of the case to create a hypothetical scenario that changes the outcome so that
the physician is no longer liable for medical malpractice.
Final Project I is divided into two milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final
submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules Three and Five. The final product will be submitted in Module Seven.

Not every employee needs the access to company's important documents. The less people that have access the better. Also, another way that I have seen to prove work is when you have more than one persons authorization needed to access something. When a worked at a company in order for me to access some stuff I would need my supervisor to override for me and if he wasn't available the system required that 2 employees used there logins including mine to be able to access whatever I needed and they could not leave my sight until I was done. Ethical Issues that can come in play while doing school work and installing new system would be to not plagiarize. You don't want to spend all this money to go to school and learn nothing by cheating or using a security system that is easily accessible. If its a system that you can easily get in, a hacker would have no problem.

Documents, laptops, cell phones, and storage devices such as usb and flash drives should be secured by being locked up in an office, safe, or cabinet. There should be a limited of employees with access to the key and information. Paper files with business or consumer information must be shredded and discarded. It is better to shred the paperwork in house. A company I had previously worked for used to hire a company to shred their paperwork for them. Everyone would pile the sensitive information into a large locked bin, then the 'shredders' would pick up the bins and dump the paperwork into their trucks for shredding. On one occasion, the person picking up the bins accidentally dropped it and the papers spilled out and blew across the parking lot! Of course, strong passwords are necessary to secure sensitive data as well as encrypting information, establishing firewalls, anti virus programs, and hiring IT personnel.
3: I can say it is very important that all business owners have a method to protect all their records to keep all their paperwork in a safe place. Especially nowadays, i cant speak on how everyone else should run their business, but i can say as far as me trying to become a business owner i will have separate copies of everything that goes on in my business and have it secured in a safe place, or my own personal computer, and etc. In todays world sometimes you cant even trust your own staff so when it comes down to certain customers files i will have them secured so that i am the only one who can view it especially since i plan on opening up a nursing home for the elderly. Their information needs to be kept in a safe place so that not everyone can view their charts.

The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
