The document outlines TESDA's area-based and demand-driven TVET approach which consolidates their major processes to quickly develop and deliver technical and vocational education and training programs that respond to priority and emerging skills needs at the national, regional, and local levels. The objectives are to address the skills requirements identified by industries, deliver programs according to the identified priorities, and streamline the processes for developing TVET programs. Examples provided include developing an industry board for agriculture/fisheries in Zamboanga del Sur and another for rubber in Zamboanga Sibugay, with competency standards scheduled to be developed in July 2022.
