This document discusses a presentation comparing polyamory and cheating. It defines polyamory as involving multiple concurrent relationships with full consent and disclosure between partners. The document provides demographics on polyamory, discusses how common cheating is, and explores the biological and brain chemistry factors in romantic relationships. It then examines different polyamorous relationship configurations and aspects of polyamorous culture and language. Survey results are presented comparing those who identify as polyamorous versus those who identify as cheaters on various relationship and sexual factors. The document concludes by noting key differences between polyamory and cheating relate to disclosure and feelings towards home partners.
The survey of thriller movie viewers found that:
1) 67% of participants were aged 16-18, the target demographic.
2) Psychological thrillers were the most popular genre at 20% of participants.
3) Half of participants said their favorite part of thrillers was the suspense.
4) The most popular thriller movie was The Grudge at 15% of participants.
The document discusses key differences between male and female serial killers. It defines a serial killer and provides typical profiles for male serial killers. It then shows charts that analyze the different methods and motives used by male and female serial killers, finding that females prefer poisoning while males use a variety of violent methods. The frequency of male versus female serial killers has also grown more disparate over the decades. Finally, examples are given of infamous British serial killers of both sexes.
Global impact of the Gender Flip on Partnering PatternsLeanna Wolfe
The document summarizes research on the global impact of women out-earning men on partnering and marriage patterns. Key points include:
- In many countries, women are increasingly achieving higher levels of education and income compared to men.
- This "gender flip" is leading to declines in traditional marriage and partnering norms like hypergamy. Women are more willing to marry less educated or lower earning men.
- In countries like Japan and South Korea, many highly educated women struggle to find partners of equal status and remain single, contributing to low fertility rates.
- Globalization is affecting marriage through trends like "mail order brides" and women migrating for partnering opportunities.
- Independent women have more sexual

This document discusses polyamory and compares it to cheating. It provides demographics on polyamory showing it is more common among well-educated Caucasians. It discusses human sexuality and finds evidence that humans are naturally non-monogamous. It defines polyamory and compares activities considered cheating by those who have been cheated on versus polyamorous people. Key differences between polyamory and cheating are that polyamorous people have full disclosure with partners while cheaters do not disclose relationships.

Casual sex and hookup culture is prevalent among college students. Studies show that men are more likely to orgasm than women during casual sex, as women's needs are often not prioritized. However, a later study found more equal orgasm rates between men and women when both partners focused on mutual pleasure. While hookup culture provides sexual freedom for some, others argue it reduces sex to exhibitionism rather than true liberation.

The survey summarizes data about students' lifestyles and culture in 3 sentences:
Most students come from cities, live in families of 3-5 people, and enjoy reading adventure and fantasy books in their free time. The majority also play sports, eat home-cooked meals, go to the cinema occasionally, and prefer pop music. Most students spend 1-3 hours a day watching TV but also enjoy playing computer games for a similar amount of time daily.

This document summarizes the three waves of polyamory:
The first wave began in the late 1960s-1970s and consisted of strict patriarchal communes like The Farm and Oneida Community that practiced forms of group marriage. The second wave emerged in the 1980s-1990s and was founded by feminist women who emphasized communication, boundaries, and dealing with jealousy. The third wave began in the 2000s, fueled by the internet and mainstream media, which presented polyamory as a normal relationship option with a focus on gender fluidity and challenging traditional relationship structures.

The document summarizes key findings from a herpes internet survey of over 500 respondents. Around 56% of respondents reported having herpes, with 27% reporting oral herpes and 28% reporting genital herpes. Half of respondents accurately knew that 20-30% of Americans have genital herpes and one third knew that 90% have oral herpes by adulthood. Top prevention methods included suppression therapy and stress reduction, while safer sex practices focused on barrier methods and avoiding outbreaks. There was strong interest in a herpes vaccine among respondents due to social stigma around the condition.
Drawing from findings of a survey conducted by Dr. Leanna Wolfe and funded by Avid Media, the owner of the Ashley Madison website, recent trends towards increased openness about anal sex are dissected. Ultimately an interest in anal play among married heterosexuals is not a significant motivator towards cheating. Non-kink identified respondents engaged in anal pleasuring on average a couple of times a year.

The document summarizes key findings from a survey on orgasms in America. Some of the main findings include: females are more likely than males to fake orgasms, especially between ages 30-35; masturbation is the most reliable method for achieving orgasm for both genders; and views differ on whether females can climax without direct clitoral stimulation, with older respondents seeing it as impossible more so than younger ones. The document also discusses debates around female sexuality and suggests schools of thought and practices that may help couples align sexually.

30. Comments from Poly People
I'm involved in mutable affairs with younger men
because I have a high sex drive for a 62 yr old
woman. Often men are married to women they love
and have children with but are unfulfilled in the
bedroom. They are attracted to me because I'm a
good confidant and sexually liberated. They stay
married, I stay single. We each get our sexual needs
met. Its a win/win. Its too bad getting your sexual
needs met outside of marriage is considered
"cheating" rather than what it is.........getting needs
met and enhancing ones sex life. Female, 62
Poly has been wonderful. How can you be all things
to your mate? I love to open up the possibilities to
women when they are in control of letting go...and
do...and I can take them on an adventure of loving
more and opening up their mind and body to intimacy
- taking them on this adventure of joy and
pleasure, that is outside their previous realm of reality.
31. Comments from Poly People
Love the connections I have made via Ashley
Madison....have actually met several women and
engaged in intimate acts with one in addition to the
one I am seeing now. Soooo re-assuring and exciting
to know that other women out there who are "normal"
want an intimate connection with other women and
still love and want intimacy with their husbands.
Feared I was unreasonable and that what I wanted
was not possible. Female, 37
32. Comments from Cheaters
Life is short have an affair Male, 48
I think sex is a very important part of a happy
marriage/relationship. We have been married for 7 years
and my husband seems to have lost all interest. This is the
first time I've had an affair and it has been very difficult
because of the guilt. I really love my husband and I wish
that he would put forth the effort to help our sex life.
Female, 27
Women need to be taught about the male sex drive in sex
ed. Every girlfriend that I ever had was shocked when I
explained how we get hard all on our own without being
aroused and that we wake up with wood and have to "deal
with it.“ It never ends for us, and they think we're all sex-
crazed dogs but it never occurs to them that we don't want
to be this way either! We pledge to care for each other in
marriage, effectively entrusting our erections to our wives
and because they don't understand our situation, they
hang us out to dry. First you make us swear never to fuck
anyone else and then we can't even fuck you. Male, 28
33. Comments from Cheaters
I feel there are many men and women out there around my
age where one partner or the other is no longer engaging
in sexual affection with their spouse. Society says "get a
divorce." That sounds really good, if you don't mind the
devastating impact to your finances and the children and
grandchildren taking sides. It is a tough situation and I am
sure I am not alone. I don't want to drop a bomb into the
middle of my life, destroying finances, etc. But I
desperately need the loving connection that comes from
having a loving, sexually active friendship with a special
woman in my life. Male, 55
I went on to Ashley Madison because I was getting no sex
from husband. I found a great lover and friend. We enjoy
each other so much and give each other what we both
need. Both our spouses are prudish when it comes to sex.
We are together a year now, yet we are both still married.
It is sad when you meet someone who is so perfect for you
knowing you can’t be with them like you desire. For now
we just enjoy what we have and try to be careful. Female
34. Comments from Cheaters
Thanks to Ashley Madison I have a large pool of like-
minded, married, adultery neophytes to choose from. It's easy for me
to weed out the more experienced or "gamer” types and concentrate
on finding men who have never or seldom had an adulterous
relationship: that's my target population. Ashley Madison's existence
means I have a very happy, healthy sex life with partners who adore
me well into my middle age; a miracle in today's youth oriented
society. My partners are often 20 years younger than me and are
none the wiser as to my chronological age. This only enhances my
enjoyment in life at an age most women have decided not to have
sex ever again, or simply can't find exciting partners whose attention
helps them maintain joy in feeling fully alive. I believe my story and
happy experiences are an anomaly in contemporary society...and I
am fully cognizant and grateful I'm a happy, sexy, extremely youthful
early 60's woman often mistaken for someone 20 years younger.
Female, 62
The human primate is not monogamous by nature. It is not just the
male, it is not just the female, it is both. It transcends ethnic
groups, social groups, religious groups and political groups. Sex is
simply the desire that binds us all. It is more than reproductive, it is
less than sacred. It is universal. It is the human condition. Male, 64
35. Reflections
Both Polyamory and Cheating address the dopamine void
in long term relationships with new lovers
Both Cheaters and Open Couples seek to maintain the
status and security of their home relationships
The key difference between polyamory and cheating is
their approaches to disclosure.
Poly People tend to have positive feelings towards their home
partners and their home relationships and engage in their
culturally valued practice of compersion.
Cheaters fear that disclosure would cause severe discomfort
(e.g. an emotional meltdown)
The Polyamory emotional journey can be both painful and
rewarding.

Editor's Notes
Leanna – Now here we see even more dramatic differences between males and females, based upon people who have been cheated on. These are considered the most cheating sensitive. Phone sex, light kissing had 24% point spreads, other differences were cybersex and clothed cuddling with dramatic differences between males and females. While you may not have thought dirty dancing was cheating, here you can see that 42% of females who had been cheated on considered dirty dancing to be cheating as did 41% of females considered Tantric breathing or dinner in a restaurant to be cheating while the males were much less.
Leanna- So this is what our survey looked like, the pink is female and the blue is male and here you can see our top cheating activities. Truly our males were less likely to consider receiving oral sex to be cheating. Here we start seeing some dramatic differences between females and males where 89% of females consider deep kissing to be cheating where just 73% of males considered it and likewise with BDSM we see a point spread between males and females.
Leanna -The first indicator of non-monogamy is Sexual Dimorphism, briefly what that means is differences in size and shape between the male and the female. An example here the gorilla where the male is twice the size of the female. Our males are not twice the size of females, but on average they are larger. The next indicator of non-monogamy is testicle size. Now here’s a handsome chimp with pretty excessive balls. The reason a chimp has such large testicles is so that he can engage in sperm competition. Human males have relatively large testicles, not as large as the chimp, but large enough to engage in sperm competition. Sperm competition is where there’s sperm from the ejaculates of multiple males who are competiting to fertilize an egg. In fact the ejaculate of any male contains 3 different kinds of sperm; blockers, egg penetrators and fighters. Humans and many mammals engage in sperm competition so this is another indicator of non-mongamous species.
