Lentils are seeds that do not germinate when stored in bags, raising the question of whether they are alive or dead. An experiment was conducted using glass containers, some exposed to light and some kept in darkness, to test the hypothesis that lentils are alive and affected by sunlight. Observations showed that lentils grown in light germinated faster and better than those in darkness, demonstrating that lentils are alive and require sunlight to germinate optimally.
