Final Graduate Project: Halston Rejuvenation Planasiggin
This was my final project for MA Luxury and Fashion Management degree at Savannah College of Art and Design. In this project I used all the skills I learned during my education and combined them into one final project.
About a year ago I became increasingly interested in the Halston company, and thought it tragic that is was failing when it had such a strong history. I decided that for my final project I would look into formulating a plan that called for the Rejuvenation of the failing company. I used market research, analysis, creative skills, and business plan creation skills during the completion of this project.

What causes electric shock?
An electric shock happens if a person was to touch a grounded surface and hazardous electrical equipment at the same time.
The shock happens when the flow of electric current (amperage) from the electrical equipment goes through the body to the ground. How serious the injury depends on what part of the body receives the current. It also depends on how long the electric current flows. Just a small amount of amperage can hurt or be fatal.
Effects of an Electrical Shock
Current Effects Of Shock
1-3 Milliamps Tingling Sensation
3+ Milliamps Shock (pain)
10+ Milliamps Muscular Contractions (can't let go)
30+ Milliamps Respiratory Paralysis (may be fatal)
60+ Milliamps Ventricular Fibrillation (usually fatal)
4+ amps Heart Paralysis (fatal)

Salisbury leather protector gloves should always be worn over insulating rubber gloves to provide mechanical protection against cuts, abrasions and punctures. The Salisbury ILP series of leather protectors are made from top grain cowhide or goatskin.
Cowhide cuffs are tough leather on the palm side of the protector glove and orange vinyl on the back. The goatskin cuffs are green leather on the palm of the glove and orange vinyl on the back. Salisbury ILP10 leather protector gloves do not have a cuff.
Salisbury leather protector gloves are available in dual sizes and the Salisbury Class 0 and Class 00 gloves are also available with a non-metallic buckle and pull strap or elastic wrist.
Salisbury Leather Protector Gloves For Rubber Insulating Gloves
NOTE: Do not use leather protector gloves alone for protection against electric shock. ALWAYS use proper insuating rubber gloves. Remember to inspect the leather protectors when inspecting the rubber insulating gloves.
Salisbury liner gloves reduce the discomfort of wearing insulating rubber gloves, providing warmth in cold weather and absorbing perspiration in the warm months. Salisbury liner gloves are available in many styles and fabric, with either an open or knit wrist.
Salisbury liner gloves with the knit wrist style grips the wrist rather than allowing the cuff to roll down and bunch at the palm. All Salisbury glove liners are for use all year round with insulating rubber gloves and mittens. The glove liners can fit any hand size.
Salisbury L series has a tough outer cotton fabric with a soft and comfortable inner lining.
Salisbury LMKV series is light, airy and allows ease of movement.
Salisbury LMKW series gives a substantial layer of lining and is made from a fabric which allows easy movement.
There are 2 main types of insulating gloves i) Latex Gloves provide high dielectric performance and must be used with leather overgloves for mechanical protection, ii) Composite Gloves provide superior mechanical protection against punctures and tears eliminating the need for overgloves. Wearing suitable PPE to protect electrical engineers, cable jointers and linesmen against dangers posed by exposure to electric cables and circuits is essential. Insulating gloves must be flexible and durable with high dielectric strength compliant with IEC 60903. Insulating rubber gloves conform to IEC 60903 standard. IEC 60903 standard insulating rubber gloves are subject to dielectrical, mechanical resistance and ageing tests - composite and rubber insulating gloves are available to prevent against electric shock hazards. Insulating gloves are used by LV-HV cable jointers, electrical engineers and overhead linesmen and are approved by UK utilities including EDF Energy. Typical applications include : low voltage and live-working up to 1kV (Class 0 Insulating Gloves), live line working on overhead lines (Class 1, 2, 3, 4 Insulating Gloves), electrical switching and also when operating underground moling machines.

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.

17. work gloves
The next-generation of performance work gloves.
These high quality performance Work Gloves are constructed of a synthetic and natural
material blend. These gloves are highly durable and comfortably form-fit to the hand
without inhibiting dexterity.
EXTENSIVE Reinforcement: Salisbury by Honeywell Work Gloves have extensive palm
and finger coverage. The PVC based Asphalt Reinforcement Material is tackey, making the
gloves more dexterous, durable, and provides a secure grip even in wet conditions.
Cuff: Some of these gloves feature a FlexMeshTM cuff which is a protective, breathable,
and comfortable cuff closing system that does not require constant adjusting.
Thumb Cut: The unique 3-D palm construction design prevents bunching between the
thumb and index finger.
Streamlined Knuckle Protection: The knuckle protection on the back of the hand is
internalized and will NOT get “caught up” when reaching into a tool pouch or pocket.
Durable Synthetic Leather on Base of Palm: The base layer is synthetic suede
called SupraTex™. This material is highly breathable and durable. The material wicks
away heat and moisture which prevents sweat and heat from building up.
