Introduction
A computer database is a software system that provides a
high level of organization for data. The database acts as a
data container, handling the low-level details for storing
and retrieving data on the hard drive. This frees software
developers from having to program these details from
scratch. It also enforces data relationship and ownership
rules, providing integrity and security for an organization's
records.

banking
This helps bankers to keep information in order. They
can use it to put all of their customers information in
one place to access easily.
4/12
Airlines
Airlines use databases for storing passenger
information when tickets are booked and when
passengers check-in at the airport.
5/12
Finance
For storing information about holdings , sales &
purchase of financial statement.
The Budget Planning form. The database is accessed
during the On Load event for the form to retrieve the
department target budget.
The approved budget. After the Budget Planning form
is approved, the detail data entered in the form is
saved back to the Finance database for central use with
rollup and variance reports as the fiscal year
progresses.

sales
For customer , product & purchase information.
A sales management database offers you a way to
quickly, easily, and effectively manage your sales
pipeline. By using an application specifically designed
for forecasting, pipeline tracking, contact
management, and collaboration, you're going to be
more organized and you'll have the added benefit of
reporting tools that can make it much easier to analyze
lost opportunities and strategize for future ones.
7/12
education
From elementary schools to colleges, educational
institutions use databases to keep track of students,
grades, transfers, transcripts and other student data.
There are even specialized database packages geared
toward schools and colleges.
8/12
telecommunication
For keeping call records and generating monthly bill
etc.
9/12
business
The business world depends on databases 24 hours a
day, seven days a week. Inventory, order processing,
payroll, accounting, shipping and transportation
routing are often tracked within a main database that
keeps the company functioning.
Businesses use databases to save all the necessary
information that they made throughout their
operation.
10/12
Household and Family
Management
The database also has a role in household and family
management. Many people use databases to keep track
of family birthdays, bills and expenses in the home;
addresses of friends and relatives and movie/DVD
collections.
