Apple was founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne to sell the Apple I personal computer kit. The Apple II, introduced in 1977, came with color graphics and the first spreadsheet program VisiCalc. Subsequent products included the Apple III, Lisa, Macintosh, PowerBook, iMac, iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, and iPad. Many of Apple's products were commercial successes, selling hundreds of thousands of units in their first weeks.

name as Googol and a student mistook the
name and spelled it wrong during registration.
