MANAGEMENT PRINCIPALS APPLIED IN APPLE
DIVISION OF WORK. It is applicable an apple organizations that have many
employees as well as those that have few. The principle states that work should be
divided amongst people that are capable of doing the job and not be overloaded to a
concentrated few. This principle also denotes that, work should not be diluted by giving
the same work to too many people. It helps ensure proper utilization of labor, keeps them
focused, and industrious. Fayol, argued that efficiency and effectiveness can be achieved
if one staff member is doing one thing at a time and another doing a different thing .In
startups, there exist divisions of work. However, an apple observed in various startups
analyzed
THE PRINCIPAL OF AUTHORITY. This refers to the right to issue commands, along
with which must be a balanced responsibility for its function. This principle suggests that
there is a need for managers to have authority in order to command subordinates so they
can perform their jobs while being responsible for their actions. Seems it as the power to
give orders and get it obeyed or in other words it is the power to take decisions. The
principle is both formal and informal of which is most recommended for managers. The
formality being the responsibilities this is the expectation of the organization for the
manager, whereas the informality being the authority ,refers to the manages autonomy to
command, direct, and ensure that his responsibilities successfully
PRINCIPAL OF DICIPLINE. This principle promotes clearly-defined rules and
regulations intended to achieve good employee discipline and obedience. It is often a part
of the core values of an apple organization in form of good conduct, respectful
interactions, proper dress code, etc. This discipline upon promotion, saturates down the
line, to the end of the employee chain as well
REMUNERATION. Fayol insists that there is nothing like a perfect system, employees
always have a motivator when involved in work, wages is one vital motivator. Fayol
suggests that, the significant process of remuneration paid to employees should be fair,
reasonable, satisfactory to both employer & employees, and rewarding their efforts.
SCALER CHAIN. This is known as the formal lines of authority from highest to lowest
ranks. In apple . It is a hierarchy principle which is essential to initiate unity of
direction. The principle emphasizes on communication means in an organisation being
vertical, therefore insisting that there should be one single uninterrupted chain of authority

existing in the organisations. According to Fayol, in apple “Organisationsshould have a
chain of authority and communication that runs from top to bottom.
Apple’s organization is managing like large one group. Apple’s organization chart doesn’t have
middle managers (C.T.O). So top manager and first-line managers share the roles of a middle
manager. First-line managers communicate with Top manager(C.E.O) directly. And they has a
communicator (KATIE COTTON), he coordinates and links groups.
TOP MANAGER
Creating a context for change.
Developing commitment and ownership in employees.
Creating a positive organizational culture language and action
Monitoring their business environments.
Plan and allocate resources to meet objectives
FIRST LINE MANAGER

A – Jonathan Ive
Plan and allocate resources to meet objectives of C.E.O.
Make detailed schedules and operating plans.
B – Bob Mansfield
Plan and allocate resources to meet objectives of A.
C- Eddy Cue
Plan and allocate resources to meet objectives of B.

PROBLEMS FACED BY APPLE
Competition
Post widespread saturation in the western nations, Apple is aiming to start manufacturing in
India to boost sales.
Cheaper upcoming brands such as Oppo & Vivo and home-grown ones such as Micromax have
seen significant interest from the large smartphone user base in India. Chinese companies
including Gionee and ZTE are also clawing into India at a fast pace. This may put Apple in a
position where it will only be limited to the wealthy
Timing
Apple is late to the party! While almost all smartphone makers fiercely battling to take a larger
chunk of the market by offering cheaper versions, Apple also lost out on the opportunity it saw
in selling second-hand phones in the Indian market. Last year, the Cupertino-based
smartphone maker faced rejection from the Indian government on selling used phones to
prevent dumping of hazardous electronic waste. One could argue when Apple’s products for the
Indian masses would be available such that they can be readily bought by the country’s
consumers. By the time Apple sets shop, hope it doesn’t get too late for it to establish
dominance.
Pricing
Apple iPhone prices have only been escalating since the first edition. The latest iPhone 7 priced
between INR 60,000- INR 90,000 category is well out of the reach of the common man in India
and falls short of meeting the demand of majority of consumers. Apple's other offering such
Apple Watch, MACs as well as accessories allcome under high-end categories.
Chinese opponents such Xiaomi and Huawei have much cheaper offerings and Apple stands to
face stiff competition from such brands in India.

DEVICEOVERHEATING
Not only have users on Apple’s forum been complaining about their devices getting extremely
hot, but some claimto have experienced serious swelling causing their iPhone 8 and iPhone 8
Plus to burst open. Due to what appears to be the battery swelling from gases inside, the
expansion places pressure on the display causing it to pop open. While having the device burst
open does help to avoid a fire, you’ll still want to make sure your device doesn’t overheat.
SOLUTION
If overheating occurs when you’re using a specific app, then take a break from using it.
We did notice the iPhone getting very warm when playing AR games, but it should shut
down automatically if it ever gets too hot.
Turn off Location Services by going to Settings > Privacy > Location Service. Since
Location Services uses GPS, Bluetooth, and cell tower locations to determine where you
are, this could be too much activity for your phone on top of running demanding apps
MIC PROBLEMS ONIPHONE7 AND 7 PLUS
MacRumors has reported that Apple has acknowledged a bug affecting the mics in some
iPhone 7 and 7Plus models. According to an internal document given to Apple
Authorized Service Providers, some users may experience issues regarding a greyed-out
speaker button which may keep the affected customers from being heard during phone
calls.
SOLUTION
Try removing any audio accessories fromyour device. If that doesn’t work, your best bet
is to go to an Apple Authorized Service Provider.S Economic challenge

CONCLUSION
it is evident that Apple has the best talents that have enabled it to be rank as the best
company in providing personal computing. However, its corporate culture does not
promote the morale of the employees. The HR strategy should be aligned with the overall
organizational strategy to ensure imminent and sustainable long-term success. Apple
should adopt HRM policies that encourage systematic practice where employees are
involved in decisionmaking. This will enable the company to manage a diverse workforce
and realize sustainable growth. The main conclusion that can be drawn is we found to be
most interesting about Apple is how they are very innovative and early adapters. Apple is
usually the first company to come out with a new product line before anyone else. This is
very risky but it seems to be working to Apple advantage. This shows taking risks can
sometimes make or break you and Apple has great potential and has a lot to improve.
