Editor's Notes

  • #15 There were a significant number of BOVs in the Summer and there was a total of 5 property crimes (3 BOVs and 2 BORs) in November. Overall, for 2016, there were 15 BOVs and 4 BORs. Yellow highlights were the summer incidents and the Green highlights are the November incidents. No incidents in January 2017.   As of recent (November – December 31st), there have been 7 incidents (5 BOVs and 2 BORs). With the exception of 1 incident (BOR on Thursday 11/17), all the others took place during the weekend timeframe (Fri – Sun). The BOVs during this timeframe all happened between Saturday night and early Sunday morning. In December, 2111 Key West Cv had 2 separate BOVs. I didn’t read each case thoroughly, but it appeared that many involved unlocked vehicles. 11 of the 19 incidents occurred in three 2-day burglary sprees: July 4-5, August 11-12, and November 5-6.
