TOWN HALL MEETING ON GENERATIONAL EFFECTS OF AGENT ORANGE
1. IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JANUARY, 2015
VVA TO HOLD TOWN HALL MEETING ON GENERATIONAL
EFFECTS OF AGENT ORANGE
Jacksonville, FL. - The Vietnam Veterans of America - Chapters 1046, Jacksonville,
Chapter 1059, Clay County, Chapter 1084, St. John's - will hold a Town Hall meeting
to address birth defects affecting the children and grandchildren of our nation's
veterans.
All veterans with children and/or grandchildren suffering from illnesses, learning
disabilities or physical disabilities are encouraged to come share their stories. The
goal of the town hall meeting is to bring attention to the hidden cost of our service
and to encourage doctors in finding a way to diagnose and treat these birth defects.
Veterans of all wars are subjected to many contaminates and most were not aware or
what effects these would have on their health and the health of their families.
In keeping with VVA's founding principle, "Never again will one generation of veterans
abandon another," Vietnam veterans throughout Florida and across the nation
continue to fight for the welfare of our nation's veterans from all wars.
THE TOWN HALL MEETING WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, MARCH 27, 2015,
6:30 pm, at 7235 Bonneval Road, Jacksonville, FL.
