1. S ummary
Carryout product development projects of complex nature from their initiation to their completion
for different classis of beverages. This will require ability on planning to support concept
development, conduct product development, stability assessment, assist with launch preparation
and supervision of initial commercial productions. Coach junior developers on assigned activities.
> It will require coordination of R&D Local Development Center San Jose routine operation,
according to Product Development Projects assigned to lab team and aligned with Lab Manager.
This involves formulation of prototypes under Lab Manager supervision, including generation of
complete data for formula approval process.
> Work under consultative direction toward predetermined goals. Conduct independent basic
search and analysis.
> Responsabilities
> Creative development and preparation of beverage prototypes, syrup and flavoring system,
making sure those products are in accordance to marketing requests regarding flavor profile, costs
and delivery time with the identification of the key technical barriers to successfully introduce the
new product to seek for solutions. Preparation of beverage and beverage base using equipment of
the pilot plant and other product development labs.40% of the time.
> Efficiently generate documentation and input formulation in TCCC proprietary databases for
formula approval process. Calculation of formulations using electronic worksheets (proprietary or
not), using as raw data the basic characteristics of the beverage (concentration of sugar, acid,
volume, carbonic gas, juice or any other ingredient part of each formulation).Record results and
observations in notebook. Maintain files and records, and regularly report the experimental result
to product development manager. 20% of the time.
-Conduct routine analytical tests and taste or odor tests according to sensory guidelines. Conduct
stability and shelf life tests for formulations developed. Record results and observations on

> Simulate prototype costing and evaluate impact of each ingredient in the formulation. Identify,
validate, and execute key opportunities to optimize efficiencies, reduce total cost and maintain /
enhance quality in process, beverage and beverage base. Identification of lowest risk/cost
beverage base supplies for new product formulation. 5% of the time
> Help junior developers in conducting their activities. Facilitate best practices on knowledge
management. 10% of the time
> Ensure priorities are handled effectively by modifying plans and actions in your area of
accountability. Manage projects inside R&D scope fully. For projects which require expertise,

> Provide description of the manufacturing conditions required to produce beverages, syrups and
flavour concentrates in commercial scale at bottling plants, concentrate plants or co-packers.
Manage and lead commercialization scale tests at bottler or co-packer, pilot and CPS/Base Plants.
