Integrating a piecewise linear representation method and a neural network mod...lolokikipipi
The document proposes integrating a piecewise linear representation (PLR) method and neural network model to predict stock trading points. The model uses PLR to identify turning points in stock prices, stepwise regression to select relevant inputs, and a backpropagation network trained on technical indicators to generate buy/sell signals. Experimental results on S&P500 data from 2000-2003 showed the approach produced a significant profit.

The document provides details about Andrew Moore's background and interests in design and technology. Some key points:
- Andrew has been fascinated by technology from a young age and enjoyed taking things apart to see how they worked.
- He studied graphic design and mechanical systems/CAD design at university where he rediscovered his passion for design.
- His ambition is to design products that improve people's lives and push the boundaries of technology and design.
- He has experience in various areas including AutoCAD, product design, prototyping, and mechanical systems.
A product designer and a passionate change agent, I am a firm believer in the power of science, technology and art in addressing today’s complex socio-economic issues and market needs. With background in Mechanical Engineering as well in integrated product design (Engineering, design and Business) and with eight years of experience in the Energy and Transmission sector, I have been instrumental in promoting continuous innovation and have authored several patents
My Background in engineering and product design has developed in me astute observation skill, Design thinking and ability to look from end users point of view and made me more a doer than a mere thinker; it has equipped me with the knowledge and skill to realize an idea, whether it is solving technical challenges faced during my professional, academic life or developing solutions for societal problem as part of “Manthan” group & “Jagrati Yatra”.

CE Lighting has been devoted to creative environmental lighting for 20 years. It aims to enrich lighting culture through innovation. The company has over 750 employees and exports $230 million worth of lighting products annually. It has extensive R&D facilities including 5 specialized labs and over 850 LED lighting products developed in-house. CE Lighting has a large manufacturing facility with strict quality control and environmental standards. The document provides examples of some of CE Lighting's projects and commitment to customers.
This document outlines the industrial design process, including initial concept development, paper prototyping, user evaluation of initial and final concepts, and refinement of the final design. It emphasizes that design should be innovative, aesthetic, clarify use, be unobtrusive, long-lasting, consistent, eco-friendly, and use materials and resources efficiently. Prototyping and evaluating fit within the intended environment are important steps. The process culminates in illustrating the design process roadmap and determining technical details while coordinating with engineers and management.
in Art of the Science V4 we learned of the Process of Assimilation which further develops the Product Line, and set a benchmark to prepare for it. But in this paper we develop the concepts about Assimilation starting with the 'Assimilart' application for small form Digital Products. The Other types of Assimilation will be further developed in V2. This Emulation is part of the Six Layer Glass Process.
Mike Jaslowski is an industrial design student at Metropolitan State University of Denver. He has experience in carpentry and construction which led him to pursue industrial design. His portfolio includes several product designs such as yoga shorts, a bike rack for SUVs, and a laptop travel case. His design philosophy focuses on clean lines, simple construction, and high quality finishes. He has interned at outdoor companies and hopes to work in the outdoor industry after graduation.
The Ultimate Guide of Laser Cutting by SculpteoSculpteo
This document provides an overview of laser cutting, including its origins, how it works, the materials that can be cut, and applications. Laser cutting uses a high-powered laser beam to cut or engrave materials like wood, plastic, cardboard, and textiles. The laser beam is directed through optics to concentrate its energy on a small area of the material, melting, burning, or vaporizing it away. Common software used to design laser cutting files include Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, SketchUp, SolidWorks, and OnShape, with vector files like SVG or DXF required. Laser cutting is used widely in industries like automotive, aeronautics, and solar panels to cut parts for production.
New Product Design brings together art and technology. I started my product design career with Philips Lighting where I got opportunity to use art and make delightful products. Since then, I have worked keeping in focus product aesthetics as well as engineering constraints. In this pursuit, I have created several products in Lighting and done some interior design projects, a glimpse of which I have captured in this presentation.
The concept was to pair crafts people and the products they make with designers. Craftspeople were asked to provide images of their work to be re-imagined, re-invented and re-hacked by a team of designers. Each designer was paired with a craftsperson and received images of their product. Using their design skills they re-imagined and re-invented products. The re-imagined products were submitted in 2D as drawings, as Rhino, CAD or Solidworks files.
A workshop was held at the National College of Art and Design for designers and craftspeople to work in pairs, discuss design approaches and how industrial processes and traditional methods can be used to re-imagine the final product.
This document provides details on Jess Kuhlenthal's design portfolio, education, experience, and skills. It includes a fog collector device designed for a German engineering company focused on biomimicry. The fog collector is made of simple, locally available materials like PVC piping and uses a gabion to secure it. It was designed for a small South African town to harvest fog and provide water.

The document describes a complex glass façade project for a medical research building in Australia. The façade consisted of 15,000 triangular glass panels and 144,000 unique steel parts. 4th Dimensional Façade Solutions used Autodesk software, including Inventor, to design and engineer the intricate façade. Inventor's iLogic tools helped automate the design of repetitive parts and manage the massive amount of data. Through extensive use of Inventor's modeling, automation, and collaboration tools, the team was able to successfully design and construct the complex glass façade.
This document summarizes Stephanie Tomasetta's 2014 design portfolio. It includes projects focused on designing for autonomous vehicles, 3D printed ski pole baskets, an injection molded bitcoin mining robot, ergonomic 4-arm crutches, a portable slit lamp for developing countries, a chevron cutting board, a pop-up hospital room light card, a polycarbonate pinata, a vinyl record carrying case, Spanish-inspired table accessories, and a walking hippogriff robot. The projects utilized various design and prototyping processes like 3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting, molding, and linkage optimization.

culus denotes a circular
opening in the centre of a
dome or in a wall. Originating in
Antiquity, it is a feature of Byzantine and Neoclassical architecture. It is also known as an
œil de boeuf from the French, or
simply a “bull’s-eye”
So, the eye was the seed giving
birth to those architectural element then, so why can’t it be for
watch in present time!
Here I take the Dome shape incorporating the oculus & rings
from the eye and further developing the plot for concept ideation.

The edible ArilEach seed has surrounding water laden
pulp ranging from white to deep red or
purple. This is a way nature shows the life
cycle of a Aril (seed). White colour shows
pre maturity and to purple maturity. Dark
purple with weathered skin shows that it
is rotten.

Fleshy Mesocarp:
Protects the Aril
from outer jerks.
Size:
About 9-10 cm in diameter
which ergonomically comfortableto holfd and cut.
The Edible Aril:
The size of a single pulp is small because it ontains fluid and if it would be in larger size, when cut
or hewed it would spoil the hands of user to avoid
wastage nature has packed the juice into small small
pockets i.e. aril.
Also if some part becomes infected the rest can be
still used as the seeds are stacked in chambers
saperated by fleshy mesocarp.
