Special Bonus benefit scheme
This scheme is for a limited period of 6 months for
Engineering, Pharmaceutical and Chemical
sectors
This is available for exports made from 1st Oct
‘2011 and would automatically sunset by 31st
Mar ‘2012
The rate of duty credit is 1% of the value of
FOB exports
3. Special Focus Market Scheme
This scheme is to provide 1% Duty Credit
over and above the Duty Credit granted
under Focus Market Scheme
The markets are categorised into Latin
American, African and CIS countries
The list of countries is available in table 3 of
Appendix 37(C)

5. Focus Products Scheme
The list of items under Focus Products Scheme
has been expanded to include 130 additional
items from sectors like Chemicals,
Pharmaceuticals, Handicrafts, Engineering and
Electronics
A Duty Credit Scrip of 2% of FOB value of
exports is available
6. Market Linked Focus Product
Scheme
New items to specified countries have been
added to the Market Linked Focus Product
Scheme. Sugar machinery, high pressure
boilers would be eligible for Brazil, Kenya,
South Africa, Tanzania and Egypt
2% of FOB value of exports will be
available as Duty Credit Scrip
7. Support to Apparel Sectors
The apparel sector has seen decline following
the economic crisis in US and EU markets
To support this sector Duty Credit under
Market Linked Focus Product Scheme for all
items under Chapter 61 and 62 would be
available
The Duty Credit would be available to
exports made during 1/4/2011 to 31/3/2012 at
2% of FOB value of exports
9. Simplification of Redemption /
No Bond Condition
An additional window would be available
for exporters for redemption / no-bond
condition of advance authorisation on the
basis of self-declaration
However, the case would be subject to
post scrutiny with stricter penal provisions
10. NIRYAT Bandhu – A scheme for
International Business mentoring
Mentoring of new comers to International
Business would be done by the offices of
DGFT
This is really a welcome step on the lines of
efforts by US department of commerce,
Japanese ministry of trade and Industry

would become institutionalised to demystify the
process of exporting and provide good contacts to
the exporters
