The Molto project aims to develop real-time multilingual translation tools using domain-specific semantic grammars and ontology-based interlinguas, targeting high-quality translations for web content providers. The project, which began in March 2010 and will last for 36 months, focuses on integrating grammatical and statistical machine translation approaches while supporting a wide range of languages, including the official languages of the European Union. Expected deliverables include a suite of open-source tools, grammar libraries, and enhanced functionalities for both end-users and developers to facilitate multilingual document creation.
