A beautifully done up space in a classic but cozy old world English Saloon style, the space oozes a sense of refined luxury. The richness of the surroundings is emphasized by Anita Dongre’s signature style which is all about simple yet elegant lines and classic patterns and cuts. A specialist in reviving old and lost forms of art in her clothing line, her collection blends in European minimalism with the richness of the orient in flawless perfection. Dipti, the store managerwas a charmingyoungwomanwhowas eagerto assistwithher ready smiles and gentle ways. She was one of those rare store managers who you instantly like and start chatting with, much as you wouldwithany old friend. She had all the right answers, all the info you could hope for and definitely knew the designer as well as the nuances of the collection very well. I walkedin,pretendingtobe anexhaustedyoung-bride-to-be whoisgoingtotake off to an international destinationpostherweddingandwants something to wear that would be a welcome change after the heavylenghasandthe usual weddingbling.Asif oncue,Dipti ushered me to the section that had some beautiful minimalistic(andveryfigure flattering) long maxi dresses in gorgeous shades of powder blue and sun-kissed peach. One could wear the collection on a cruise or to a red carpet event, looking effortlesslyelegantall the way.The pricesaren’tverysteepeitherandone can expecttoshell out about 10 K for a beautiful outfit at this store.
