Dear Sir/Madam
As you can see from my attached CV my present position within Prospector Offshore Drilling
is as a driller on the Prospector 5 jack up. I am enquiring about opportunities in the UK and overseas
as I am looking to further develop my career through alternative challenging opportunities.
I feel my skill in training, safety management and operational development would be a valuable
asset to ensure that any companies’ high standards in safety and operations are maintained and
developed.
Prior to joining Prospector in 2014 I worked for Seawell Archer for predominately platform based
work with some jack up, semi-submersible experience from clients such as BP, Chevron, Total and
Shell.
I am now working on the Prospector 5 jack up on a HPHT well for Total using MPD (managed
pressure drilling), prior to this I worked on the BP Claire, Chevron Captain/Alba Northern platform
working on a technaically challenging well from spud to TD, as diverse as multi-lateral, ERD, TTRD,
HPHT well work overs, abandonments, conductor grouting operation and overseeing engineering
upgrades.
I am currently supervising multi-disciplined technical personnel and feel that my ability to build and
develop rig crew teams would be an asset. In addition to this I feel I have played a substantial role in
developing and achieving some of the outstanding safety performances that have been achieved in
the North Sea. I believe that I have the experience and knowledge that would be of particular
benefit to a forward thinking company.
I am safety conscious and solution orientated, I am self-motivated, keen to learn and I am looking to
sustain a long career in the drilling industry.
