This document describes a study on tracking signal-emitting mobile targets using navigated mobile sensors based on signal reception measurements. The study proposes using a min-max approximation approach and semidefinite programming relaxation to jointly estimate the locations of the mobile sensor and target in order to improve tracking accuracy. A cubic function is used for mobile sensor navigation, and a weighted tracking algorithm is also proposed to make more efficient use of measurement information and provide good tracking performance by quickly directing the mobile sensor to follow the mobile target.
