EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
SHARP AIRLINES
JANUARY 2013 - PRESENT ADELAIDE SENIOR BASE PILOT
TRAINING CAPTAIN – METRO
FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR GRADE 1 (META)
Between January 2013– September 2013 I was providing flight training to a course of Sharp Airlines cadets in
both synthetic trainers and in Seneca IV type aircraft. I also provided supervision and support to other
instructors. This role involved planning all aspects of the cadets’ initial twin endorsement training, MECIR and
ATPL theory. Following this I was endorsed as First Officer on Metro III/23 aircraft.
On 30th
June 2014 I was checked to line as Captain on Metro III and Metro 23 aircraft. In October 2015 I was
selected by the Chief Pilot to commence as Training Captain for line training of cadets on Metro line RPT and
charter operations. I have since been working in this capacity with two to three Metro First Officers.
In May 2016 I was asked to take on the Senior Base Pilot role at Adelaide Airport. In this capacity I am
responsible for various administrative tasks and general supervision of all aspects of the base as well as a
normal flying schedule.
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA (UniSA)
2006-2013 FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR GRADE 1 (META)
At UniSA I progressed through G3 to G1 Flight instructor from 2007 to 2013. I obtained a CIR and META
between 2009 and 2011. Progressively I also acquired management type responsibilities and supervision
requirements as above approvals allowed. At the time, UniSA catered for approximately 180 students.
During summer months I helped operate aerial spotting operations on South Australian coastline. This involved
coordination with SES and SA Police as well as other crew members. I also took on occasional planning and
scheduling roles when required.
COBHAM (NATIONAL JET SYSTEMS)
2007-2009 LOAD CONTROLLER
Coordinated with Operations Support, pilots, and Qantas ramp and gate staff to ensure safe and efficient
loading of Boeing 717 and BAe146 aircraft used in Qantaslink RPT operations.

CURRENT RESPONSIBILITIES
In my current role as Senior Base pilot I am responsible to the Chief Pilot for the general smooth
operation of the base including administrative tasks, general appearance of facilities, maintaining
aircraft and office libraries and more formal tasks such as:
Writing company standing orders
Liaising with Airservices Australia with respect to airspace and airport issues
Coordinating base and other meetings
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Acting as flight crew at Sharp Airlines, both at check-in and flight operations, requires regular
customer interaction and has taught me a great deal in how to deliver unfavourable information to
customers such as flight delays and cancellations and crisis management – as well as coordinating
normal operations. In doing so I have drawn from my previous experiences from flight instruction
and, looking further back, from my experiences in hospitality between 1999 and 2004.
OTHER EXPERIENCE
Extensive use of and instruction on Elite Cat-B synthetic flight training devices
Extensive experience glass cockpit operations (G1000 / C172)
Attended CFIT, TAWS and Weather Radar training – Sharp Airlines
Completed VET work experience with Airservices Australia at Adelaide TCU and
observational activities in Melbourne Centre in 2011
