Students must choose between two projects on Ancient Egypt - either creating a diorama showing one of the gifts of the Nile river with an explanation, or building a pyramid model representing their personality along with a list of 10 treasures they would bring and why. Both projects require students to turn in their completed work and present to the class, and will be graded based on completion, presentation, and creativity.

1. Ancient Egypt Project:<br />You have a choice of one of two projects to complete for Ancient Egypt.<br />Choice #1:<br />The Gift of the Nile Project<br />You will choose one of the “gifts” of the Nile to create a diorama. There are many gifts (transportation, etc.). Look at the examples on the classroom blog’s Projects page. On your due date, you will turn in your diorama with an index card explaining the importance of the “gift” you chose to represent. Students will also present their diorama to the class.<br />OR<br />Choice # 2<br />Pyramid Project<br />You will create a pyramid that represents your personality. Since the pyramid was used as a tomb, which held the treasures of the pharaoh, with whom the pyramid was built, you will create a list of treasures that you would like to bring with you into your pyramid. Your list should include ten items and an explanation of why you would take those items with you. Your items should be listed on an index card. On your due date, students will turn in their pyramid with the index card of treasures. Students will also present their pyramid to the class.<br />Grading: <br />Completed Project ___________/60 pts.<br />Presentation _______________/30 pts.<br />Creativity __________________/10 pts.<br />Total : ___________________/100 pts.<br />
