This document discusses a project analyzing the impacts of implementing droop control in doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) wind turbines on microgrid and weak grid stability. Currently, conventional DFIG control does not allow wind turbines to participate in frequency regulation. The project aims to address this issue through detailed analysis of droop-controlled DFIG units in microgrids. Simulation and hardware tools like MP Lab, Orcad/Pspice, and MATLAB/Simulink were used to study the outputs.
