IRJET- Automatic Braking with Pneumatic Bumper
This document describes an automatic braking system with pneumatic bumpers for vehicles to help avoid accidents. It uses ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles and activate brakes and extend pneumatic bumpers. The system aims to eliminate human errors, reduce accidents, and increase safety for passengers and vehicles. When an obstacle is detected, the ultrasonic sensor activates a solenoid which applies the brakes and extends the bumper via a pneumatic cylinder. The system is designed to improve prevention of accidents and reduce hazards compared to existing systems by providing both internal and external safety.
Introduction to CAN protocol
This document describes a proposed vehicle collision avoidance system that uses CAN (Controller Area Network) protocol for hybrid vehicle-to-vehicle communication. It aims to design a system that can detect rear-end collisions, indicate steering movements, detect fog conditions, and safely facilitate vehicle overtaking. The system would use an ARM microcontroller, IR transmission for rear collision detection between two vehicles, an accelerometer connected to the steering to indicate its movement via LED lights, a smoke sensor to detect fog and activate red headlights, and a Zigbee communication system between vehicles with LEDs and buttons to coordinate safe overtaking. The system aims to reduce accidents by automatically monitoring vehicle parameters and enabling communication between nearby vehicles.
IRJET- Internet of Things based Emergency System

This document describes the design of a three-axis pick and place mechanism for a friction welding machine to reduce cycle time and increase productivity. A prototype robotic arm system was designed using pneumatic components, an air compressor for power, sensors for feedback, and a programmable logic controller. Predictive maintenance framework for assessing health state of centrifugal pumps
Combined with advances in sensing technologies and big data analytics, critical information can be extracted from continuous production processes for predicting the health state of equipment and safeguarding upcoming failures. This research presents a methodology for applying predictive maintenance (PdM) solutions and showcases a PdM application for health state prediction and condition monitoring, increasing the safety and productivity of centrifugal pumps for a sustainable and resilient PdM ecosystem. Measurements depicting the healthy and maintenance-prone stages of two centrifugal pumps were collected on the university campus. The dataset consists of 5,118 records and includes both running and standstill values. Additionally, Spearman statistical analysis was conducted to measure the correlation of collected measurements with the predicted output of machine conditions and select the most appropriate features for model optimization. Several machine learning (ML) algorithms, namely random forest (RF), Naïve Bayes, support vector machines (SVM), and extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) were analyzed and evaluated during the data mining process. The results indicated the effectiveness and efficiency of XGBoost for the health state prediction of centrifugal pumps. The contribution of this research is to propose an effective framework collectong multistage health data for PdM applications and showcase its effectiveness in a real-world use case.
