One day, Melanie took Bonzer to the park but left Arthur behind. Upset, Arthur ran away with his favorite slippers. The family searched for Arthur and eventually found him at the pet store. Melanie was happy to be reunited with Arthur and told him that she would always love him.

2012 Cross Country
The students from Stewart Farm school competed in a challenging cross country event held on a rural farm. Many students achieved top placements in their age groups, including Max who placed first for Year 1 Boys and Jessie who won the Year 1 Girls title. All students tried their hardest and should be proud of their achievements in completing the lengthy courses which included hills and uneven terrain. It was a memorable event and the school is proud of how the students competed and behaved.

- 2. RETELL Arthur lived with Melanie and her family. One day a new dog came to stay. His name was Bonzer. Arthur liked his new friend even though Bonzer could do things better than him. But, one day Melanie went to the park without Arthur. Arthur was very upset. He decided to run away and he took his favourite slippers. The family went to look for him! They found him at the pet store. Melanie was so happy she said, “I will always love you, Arthur, always.”
- 3. BY TAYLOR Arthur was excited because of Bonzer coming to stay.
- 4. BY MASYN Arthur and Melanie love each other. He ran away with his slippers. He went to the pet shop by himself.
- 5. BY JACK Arthur and Bonzer and Melanie. Bonzer can do things better than Arthur. Arthur ran away. Melanie loved Arthur.
- 6. ALWAYS ARTHUR RETOLD BY AYLA Arthur was a dog. One day, Bonzer came to stay at Arthur’s home. One day Melanie loved Bonzer.
- 7. ALWAYS ARTHUR RETOLD BY TOBY Melanie loved Arthur. But Bonzer can do better things. Melanie decided to go without him. Melanie always loved him.
- 8. ALWAYS ARTHUR RETOLD BY JOHANNA Arthur was a lovely dog. One day Melanie liked Bonzer. And Arthur slipped into the secret gate with his old slippers.
- 9. BY LOGAN The family looked for Arthur. Arthur please come home.
- 10. BY LAIKEN Arthur got lost at the pet store. He brought his favourite slippers.
- 11. BY ANNALISE Melanie loved Arthur and Bonzer. Please come home. But Arthur couldn’t hear.
- 12. ALWAYS ARTHUR RETOLD BY ALEX Melanie loved Arthur. One day Melanie didn’t go to the park with Arthur only with Bonzer.
- 13. ALWAYS ARTHUR RETOLD BY KAITLIN Melanie loved Arthur. Bonzer was Melanie’s favourite and Arthur was Melanie’s favourite, too.
- 14. BY FLOYD Arthur is excited about Bonzer coming to stay today. The next day Melanie went to the park. Arthur left with his favourite slippers and he was back at the pet shop.
