• Development of mechanical assemblies for the enhancement of existing products in service relating
to the outdoor menu-board environment, outdoor menu boards.
• Development of digital outdoor menu-board systems, including wind load certification for 150 mph
wind loads, water infiltration, electrical requirements and certification, digital display components, heat

Design and Development - Engineer
• Designer of custom conveyor systems for various food service plants, both local and nationwide.
Designed in both AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor 2012.
• Maintain Engineering projects and schedules, communicating this schedule weekly to ensure
specified due dates and delivery dates are met on the shop floor.
• Specification of correct motors and reducers for plant power and run rates, NSF approved
components, drives and gate motors, elevations from plant measurements on customer site, specialty
components for custom conveyor requirements.

injection molded PCB enclosures for POP display lighting.
• Set up and management of Engineering documentation area, Quality control and documentation,
general engineering, product BOM, design schedules and flow.
• Specification of all internal electrical connectors, hardware for assembly, electrical harnesses, internal
assembly components and injection mold tooling. Spring forms.
• First article assembly review, part qualification, actual product testing and evaluations of final design,
meeting UL, and NSF standards and requirements.

• Designer of Rotational molded plastic containers for numerous dominant companies whose main core
business is Dry ice delivery. Product design and development.
• Maintain Engineering projects and schedules, communicating this schedule weekly to ensure
specified due dates are met both internal and external to customers. Set design parameters initiate
design criteria with initial prototypes or designs from data collected, and distribute projects to any of
three design centers within the United States.
• Lead in project design meetings gathering all necessary facets of the new product concepts, leading
to final design of the product, manufacture and assembly. Ensure all tools for assembly lines are
equipped to complete the manufacturing process effectively and in a time efficient manner. All
Mechanical Engineering completed on AutoCAD 2002, Proficient with SolidWorks 2004-2005.

Senior Engineer
• Designer of injection molded plastic hardware components for a dominant company whose main core
business is in window hardware, for the new construction and replacement window industry.
• Use of proven design methods to reduce tooling costs, and concurrently reducing piece part costs by
using weight reduction suggestions without sacrificing the components intended structural integrity.
Have significant input on injection mold tool design, tooling layouts and approvals. Injection molding
and Zinc die-cast components.
• Department Supervisor responsible for managing incoming new product development, scheduling,
tracking, and assignment of these projects to any of three Engineering associates, working in the
engineering department.
• Specification and adoption of Four SolidWorks CAD workstations, and all management of directory
structures and project CAD file organization. System management. Moved from HPUNIX
SolidDesigner to SolidWorks 98 on through 2002 Plus.
• Responsible for the hiring, timely evaluations, and yearly reviews for three Engineering associates
within the department. Assisted and advised in career guidance establishing annual personal goals.
• Work with sales associates internal and external to continuously improve existing core product lines,
using a team environment approach.
• Work closely with Quality associates to ensure proper assembly methods, and total acceptance
criteria for all manufactured products and assemblies. Involved with mfg. associates to troubleshoot
processing conditions which improved part quality and machine cycle times.
National Engineering, Aurora, Illinois April 1991 - May 1992
Applications Engineer
• Employed by a large Engineering organization which produces large industrial machinery for the
foundry casting industry.
• Responsible for re-design of working parts in assembly, and adjusting tolerances to have all
components interact more closely in assembly, without part failure. Used Intergraph Workstations to
accomplish final designs.
• Implemented design suggestions to reduce component part costs. Outside sand cast foundry molding
• Re-compiled and updated operation manuals for existing machinery and sub-assemblies thereof

Product Designer
• Responsible for precision measurements and design of new and generic golf club lines.
• Used CAD workstations to develop CNC prototype production parts.
• Developed and designed racquetball and tennis rackets for retail sporting outlets, and observed
manufacturing processes.

• Responsible for training and assisting operators in everyday problems associated with CAD part
design.

• Designed and managed some production level assemblies of a TJ-90 dispenser still currently used in
the fast food industry.
