This webinar discusses Damar Training's accountancy apprenticeships. It provides an overview of apprenticeships, outlining the intermediate, advanced, and higher levels. Apprentices receive classroom and on-the-job training. Intermediate apprenticeships take 12 months and focus on entry-level roles, while advanced apprenticeships take the same time and prepare for junior roles. Higher apprenticeships include AAT membership and prepare for semi-senior positions like assistant accountant. Apprenticeships offer benefits like avoiding university debt, earning while learning, and fast-tracking to chartered status.

Introduction to Apprenticeships
Being an apprentice means that you have a job that includes gaining recognised
qualifications and essential skills whilst you are working and earning a wage.
There are three types of apprenticeships:
• Intermediate Apprenticeships
• Advanced Apprenticeships
• Higher Apprenticeships
The current minimum salary for an apprentice is £3.40 per hour and they are
expected to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Accountancy Apprenticeships
How are they delivered?
Damar’s accountancy apprenticeships enable apprentices to develop specific technical
knowledge, learning their profession in small interactive classrooms of no more than 10
students. Delivery of training is primarily classroom based, with employer release on a
regular basis throughout the year to attend classes. Training is delivered by a well-
established accounts team, one of which will be assigned as primary tutor.
