Lab Technician, Contract Employee at Ocean Spray, Lakeville, MA Summer- 2016
Set up and performed pesticide extractions from cranberry and incoming ingredients for analyzes in the analytical
laboratory. In addition recorded test records in the grower business system. Preformed extracts on
proanthocyanidins, along with tests on total phenolic of the cranberries and cranberry juices. Also performed
multiple moisture analysis tests, using Karl Fisher Titration, on cranberries and ocean spray products.
• Performed over 400 cranberry and ingredient extractions
• Performed total phenolic tests and aided in test on organic acids using DIOnex technology

Research Assistant, Salve Regina University, Newport RI Summer 2014-2016
Worked on a research project funded by the INBRE to determine the formation of a compound which would
inhibit quorum sensing in bacteria. Owned the process for bacterial assays and the results of the reactions.
Determined procedures and formed compounds from different derivatives of starting material. Logged steps for
the procedure, recorded observations and analyzed results.
• Synthesized 9 compounds resulting in inhibition of bacteria growth.
