Egypt has also been included in the ancient Near East due to interactions between Egyptian and neighboring cultures. Ultimately, "Where is Egypt?" has different answers depending on historical, political and cultural perspectives. The chapter aims to show that placing ancient Egypt is challenging and requires qualification.
