This workshop will help principals understand their role and responsibility as a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse and neglect including recent updates to legislation enacted during the 2018 legislative session. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to identify signs and indicators of child abuse and neglect, know what to do when a child discloses abuse, and strategies to help prevent abuse from occurring.
