Agapé Mission Church hosts monthly inner-city tutoring sessions for pre-high school students through its involvement with Dorothy I. Height Community Academy Public Charter Schools (CAPCS). CAPCS was created in 1998 by Kent Amos to provide high-quality education and social guidance for inner-city youth, as previous after-school programs did not offer enough support. CAPCS now serves over 1,800 students across four campuses and an online program.

INTRODUCTION
Patricia Parisi twirled her pink pen between her fingers as she peered out of her office window onto St.
Clement’s Avenue. As principal of St. Clement’s School (SCS) for the last nine years, Parisi had numerous
daily responsibilities and decisions to make regarding the governance of the staff, programs, facilities and
the 12 grades of students currently attending the all-girls private school. It was November 2, 2004, and
today her most pressing business was the recommendation to the SCS board of governors concerning
whether to expand the school’s facility and operations. SCS had recently purchased the last house on the
south block of St. Clement’s Avenue and had successfully attained the property rezoning required to build
the proposed expansion of the school building. Parisi had a lot to think about as she considered the possible
transition to a larger facility for the school. What would be the best way to fund an expansion? Would she
be able to operate a bigger school within the approved budget without increasing the school’s enrollment?
Most importantly, would SCS be able to maintain its distinctive culture with a larger operation?
PRIVATE SCHOOL EDUCATION IN ONTARIO1
Private schooling was a centuries-old form of education in Canada, with some private education
institutions as old as the country itself. Ontario offered both single-sex and co-educational private schools
with programs for elementary- and secondary-level students. There were also private “combined schools,”
offering both elementary and secondary education in single-sex or co-educational environments. The total
number of private schools in Ontario alone jumped to 828 in 2003, up from 551 a decade prior. Schools
ranged in size from as few as 24 students up to 1,500 students. Academically defined schools had an
average of 130 to 500 students, while religiously defined schools averaged 150 to 300 in attendance.

I would choose Sunday schools to be changed because no child should have to get out there and work hard at such a young age. They should have been granted the same rights to attend school during the week as the other children.

INTRODUCTION
Patricia Parisi twirled her pink pen between her fingers as she peered out of her office window onto St.
Clement’s Avenue. As principal of St. Clement’s School (SCS) for the last nine years, Parisi had numerous
daily responsibilities and decisions to make regarding the governance of the staff, programs, facilities and
the 12 grades of students currently attending the all-girls private school. It was November 2, 2004, and
today her most pressing business was the recommendation to the SCS board of governors concerning
whether to expand the school’s facility and operations. SCS had recently purchased the last house on the
south block of St. Clement’s Avenue and had successfully attained the property rezoning required to build
the proposed expansion of the school building. Parisi had a lot to think about as she considered the possible
transition to a larger facility for the school. What would be the best way to fund an expansion? Would she
be able to operate a bigger school within the approved budget without increasing the school’s enrollment?
Most importantly, would SCS be able to maintain its distinctive culture with a larger operation?
PRIVATE SCHOOL EDUCATION IN ONTARIO1
Private schooling was a centuries-old form of education in Canada, with some private education
institutions as old as the country itself. Ontario offered both single-sex and co-educational private schools
with programs for elementary- and secondary-level students. There were also private “combined schools,”
offering both elementary and secondary education in single-sex or co-educational environments. The total
number of private schools in Ontario alone jumped to 828 in 2003, up from 551 a decade prior. Schools
ranged in size from as few as 24 students up to 1,500 students. Academically defined schools had an
average of 130 to 500 students, while religiously defined schools averaged 150 to 300 in attendance.

I would choose Sunday schools to be changed because no child should have to get out there and work hard at such a young age. They should have been granted the same rights to attend school during the week as the other children.

In my opinion the most important result of my events would be the free education. Every child deserves a right to a free education and this was the most important thing our founding fathers did for education.

land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the

- 2. Active in its Maryland community, Agapé Mission Church conducts programs that allow its parishioners to assist others. Involved with Dorothy I. Height Community Academy Public Charter Schools (CAPCS), Agapé Mission Church hosts monthly inner- city tutoring sessions.
- 3. Catering to pre-high school students throughout the Washington, D.C., area, CAPCS creates a better learning experience for youths. Its collective of schools features tutors who teach children about English, public speaking, mathematics, and science. In addition to enhancing analytical capabilities, CAPCS also provides a social education that enables students to grow into respectable adults.
- 4. Established in 1998, CAPCS was created by Kent Amos, who had previously founded the after-school Kids Houses programs for the Urban Family Institute. Despite their success, he recognized that they did not provide enough guidance for youths. In the late 1990s, Washington, D.C., began promoting charter schools, and Amos decided to use his experience with Kids Houses to create high- quality educational institutions for inner-city children. Today, CAPCS tends to 1,800 students across four campuses and an online program.
