This research finds that 9 out of 10 consumers are concerned about their personal information being publicly available online. These worries are not without foundation: a fifth of respondents to our survey have been a victim of identity theft. With 87% of victims in our research having had money spent fraudulently in their name, this is a
growing issue with important financial consequences.
