Aesop was an ancient Greek slave who lived around 500 BC and became famous for telling fables that conveyed moral lessons. Though he was credited with hundreds of fables, he likely did not write them all down himself. One of his most well-known fables is "The Tortoise and the Hare", which uses anthropomorphized animals as characters to illustrate the moral that slow and steady wins the race. Aesop's fables continue to be taught, illustrated, and adapted today to share their messages.

XIX, tem os ingredientes de um conto popular verdadeiramente hilariante, pensado para crianças com menos de 5 anos e para todos os que se iniciam no mundo da leutira. Acompanha as atribulações de um simpático casal de velhinhos nesta nova versão, enriquecida com as belíssimas ilustrações de uma premiada artista irlandesa, Niamh Sharkey.

Inicialmente foi explorada a história “A viagem da sementinha” de Maria Isabel Loureiro. Alguns alunos realizaram exercícios de interpretação da história lida (fichas de trabalho). A partir da exploração da história partiu-se para a elaboração de uma pequena horta.
