This project analyzes and studies the JFET as an amplifier. It will compare the JFET to the BJT, analyze the input and output characteristics of the JFET amplifier through simulation, and examine the important components needed for the JFET to function as an amplifier. Simulations will be performed on CircuitLab, and research from papers and online sources will provide the theoretical background. The JFET is chosen because it is more temperature stable, smaller, less noisy, and has higher input impedance than the BJT.
