• Een bijwoord zegt iets over een werkwoord!
• Het geeft aan hoe iets gebeurt.
Voorbeelden:
- The dog walks slowly!
- I knocked firmly on the door!

• Categorie 2  eindigt het woord op een ‘y’ dan
plak je ‘ily’ erachter.
Happy  happily
• Categorie 3  eindigt het woord op een ‘le’ dan
verandert dat in ‘ly’.
Terrible  terribly
• Categorie 4  de uitzondering!
