Acute Otitis Media is mostly caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Moraxella catarrhalis. Symptoms include ear pain, fever, and a bulging, red, or perforated tympanic membrane with decreased mobility. Treatment involves amoxicillin taken orally for 10 days or alternative antibiotics like amoxicillin-clavulanate if amoxicillin is not effective. External otitis is generally caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and results in severe ear pain worsened by ear manipulation along with ear canal swelling, redness, and discharge. Treatment consists of ciprofloxacin ear drops for 5-7 days
